Its doable, but very hard! I worked anywhere from 0-40 hours a week while I was in school. Are you able to do homework or study at work during your downtimes? I was able to and that helped a lot!
yes, I think there is a good chance that during down time at work I can study some. Thanks for the input!!
It is definitely doable. I just graduated from nursing school, yay, and I worked the entire time. I worked at a hospital on nights 24-32 hrs a week, went to school and took care of my three children. It's hard, but if I did it you can too. You will have to make sacrifices to get through it, but it will be well worth it in the end. Good luck!!!!
Hi, yes it is definitely doable. I just graduated from nursing school last week.
I worked a 40 hr/week job the entire time and attended class/clinical at night and on the weekends. I also have two young kids. I would not have been able to do it without the support of my husband that's for sure. The bottom line is that working and school is not easy but if you are focused and determined to be a nurse you can do it. You can do anything you put your mind to. Good Luck!

I am in my first year of nursing school here in ohio. I just got a new job with a cell phone company and they need me to be able to work 24 hours/week. I have heard from some new grads that I won't be able to work that much. Any tips? How many hours per week did most of you work outside of school?
