  1. As a patient at Riverside I loved it. My husband worked as a pharmacist for many years at Riverside and really liked it there. That is truly my only feedback. Good luck!
  2. I admire people who are able to do this but I was unable to do it myself. That is why I am going back at age 31. I do not need to work now so hopefully that will work better for me. But truly some people can and do it all the time. Good luck!
  3. Yes it is consecutive. We will go through the summers. CONGRATS on getting in. I guess that we will be in it together. Cassy dont worry about the book. I honestly do not even need it back. I am done with it. And as far as I know the next time that they will do applications is in January. I could be wrong about that though. They usually do the app period from around Jan 10th to March something but you really need to get in that first day if you can. Does that help any? Again I will see if I can find out more specifics.
  4. Cassy I am the gal you speak of. And it is true that I applied in the Winter and got in for the Spring not the Fall. Some of my friends were told they had to reapply though because they have the Fall 06 and Spring 07 classes filled so they are at least booked for those. Meaning the next time anyone would be able to get in would be Fall 07. But yeah like you said not quite the wait that many of us were told.
  5. I am so sorry about the Mult 120 courses. I have heard those are soooo hard to get into now. To answer the questions above, I got accepted into the traditional FT Spring program and I applied for the first time in January.
  6. I just got finished with Micro and I had Mr. Singer. This was my first time applying so I did not have to wait long at all to get in. I took Mult 120 a very long time ago and it did not fill up then like it does now. It is crazy now I know!
  7. Good luck!! You will do GREAT!!!!
  8. I just received my letter today saying that I have been accepted to the Spring 07 program. I am going to have a long break since I am done with all my non nursing courses but that is ok. Anyone else who is waiting to hear back from Columbus State should be hearing soon. GOOD LUCK!!!!!
  9. Guess I am the last to finish. I got a B for the class. Ended up with like an 88.9 % or something. Oh well. Considering I took Pathophysiology this quarter too I will take it.
  10. Another thing you could do since you will have a bach degree is you could look into the online program for nursing. Not something I myself would want to do but I have a really good friend who is starting that in the fall. She got in the very first time she applied for it. Just another avenue you could look into.
  11. My prere have been done for a while and were done when I applied. On top of that, I have also finished all the other non nursing classes that are in the program.
  12. I am cranky too. LOL We will just blame it on the school. There are per requs like the mult 120 and 126 and that type of stuff and then there are the non nursing classes that many people take while they are in the program. These are classes like Pathophys, anatomy, microbiology etc. When you look at the nursing schedule those classes are listed in the schedules for when you are in nursing school. What I have done is I have taken all those classes that are non nursing classes and got them out of the way so that when I am in the program, I am only taking the nursing classes and not any of the extra stuff? Does that make sense? I feel like I am being really inarticulate. My brain is so fried.
  13. Wow! I did not mean to start a snippy little match. I truly was just trying to be helpful. A lot of people do go to just general counselors about the nursing program. I was not insulting you or anything. I just know that there is a lot of communication barriers at Columbus State and was trying to offer help with that. I guess I did not speak correctly previously. All of my pre reqs are done. I mean I will be finished with all of my non nursing classes in 4 weeks. Meaning that all I have left after that are my actual nursing courses. I have taken all my anatomy, physios, pathos, micro and that kind of stuff. Again I am sorry that you appear to have taken my comments as anything but genuinley trying to be helpful. I dont think I work any harder than anyone else and did not mean to come across that way. I just mean that I have worked very hard to get all of the other classes out of the way before I start the actual nursing program. My understanding of it all is that it is a first come first serve application process. Once your reqs are done, you apply online on the designated days. You have to try to get in right when the app process opens up online. As long as you are one of the first people to apply, you should be pretty high up on the list. Now I know that people who have applied before get first priority so yes that can cause you to be put further down on the list. But again from my info, there is not a huge waitlist. I dont know if my info is right but I am just sharing what I have heard and experienced as that is what was asked for. The next time to apply I believe is July 10th at 9 am. Be sure that you are in front of the computer then to apply and I guess we will all se what happens. Again, I was simply trying to give the info I have been given. None of knows who is getting the right info. That supports what I said about the communication sucking at Columbus State. We are all in this together and should be trying to help each other. That is honestly what I was trying to do. Sorry if I offended anyone.
  14. Are you all talking to actual nursing advisors? Because I have and they are the ones telling me that so many people are getting such bad information about a waitlist that really is not there. Who knows who is getting the right information ya know? I am just going by what I was told. And I haven't gotten my acceptance letter yet. They go out on the 10th of June so dont congratulate me yet. And as far as "luck". I would not call it that. I have busted my butt to get these pre reqs out of the way and made it so all I have left is nursing. The communication around Columus State does suck. Everyone seems to get different information about things. Hopefully we will all be shocked and get in more quickly than we think.
  15. I still have 4 weeks of my quarter left. I am putting the finishing touches of my unknowns. I ended up having E. coli and B. sub.
