Hi everyone!
I'm getting ready to apply for the Spring 2015 semester at BC. I'll be applying in June and I'm finishing up Micro right now. Would anyone mind sharing what their overall GPA was when they got accepted? Mine is not bad, but it's not really that great either. I just wanted some possible insight on this. I realize that most people don't get in their first time applying. Any help with overall GPA and science pre req GPA would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Yes! If you have a good GPA and know you can get good references then go for it! Fulks and Newton both have me spectacular references. They narrowed it down to 11 candidates and chose the top 6 teas scores. I loved that I had control over it versus a random lottery system. Versus them randomly choosing 50 candidates out of the 100+ that applied and you have zero control over that. Plus, San Joaquin will pay your tuition and books!
Also if I haven't tired you out on question already, and if you don't mind me asking how you approached studying for the TEAS? You scored so well!
I am actually going to take my TEAS before I apply to the nursing program due to needing the extra time for multiple tries for my back up school. I have scheduled my test for the 13th of November.
Use the spreadsheet at the bottom for the RN program at BC. It uses the California chancellors formula.
Instead of putting English B1A put in the collegiate average of all college level English classes. Chancellor's Formula - Yuba College Nursing
The formula will give you the percentage.

Thank you so much for your response!
Your information was very helpful. Do you think that it is worth it for me to compete to get the sponsorship rather than be put in the lottery? I have a 4.0 although do not have any work experience in the medical field.
