There is only one day I can take micro this fall. On this day the class is offered twice. Prof A has pretty bad ratings, Professor B has none. I assume Professor B is a new teacher. I've also heard from someone who took Professor A's class and she said stay away!

What to do!?

I took a professor with a bad rating and regretted all semester

Turns out professor A completely ignored my request for the syllabus and professor B kindly let me know she was not finished with her syllabus yet, but informed me of which chapters to read for the first day! So I'm definitely going with professor B! Fingers crossed this all works out! I'm super excited!

Bad reviews are also a reflection of the reviewer. I received an A in one class. Some students had a D. If we both left a review of

the instructor, I'm sure there would be different ratings. I have no desire to add any comments to that site.

If a prospective student focused on negative reviews of my past instructor, they may miss out on an easy A, imho.

Bad review, usually IMO new professors grade harder and sometimes aren't exact in what they want.

I had this same problem when trying to register for my A&P I class for this fall semester. However I chose to go with the professor with no ratings. Best of luck to you this semester.

I was in the same boat once and my mom had told me that everyone has a different experience with different teachers, the teacher I took had

OK. You guys won't believe this but I'm going with professor A! It was just something in my gut telling me to take her. The reviews DO seem like she is just a hard teacher but not necessarily bad. There were a handful of reviews saying if you participated, took notes and studied you should be fine. So I decided I'm going to find out for myself.:nailbiting: She emailed me the syllabus and I've starting the first readings. Worst comes to worst I know I can teach the bulk of the material to myself. Wish me luck!! Class is tomorrow!! I can do this!
