don't think i should really get into it, but just feeling really frustrated and angry at a particular doc for being very lax about a pt

We have all had days like that. I begged for a CT of the head for 4 hours one night and finally after we intubated the pt the docs decided to take him to CT after 4 hours of me begging because I noticed a change in his mental status. I work neuro ICU and that was so frustrating. I sent ABG's and were crappy, begged for CT which was finally done. Second set of gasses and now we tube him. Made me mad becuse we could have had a better handle on things if they listened to me in the first place to tube him and go to CT.

I am sorry that led to a bad outcome for the patient.
