Sorry you are feeling so down. Pick yourself up, and realize that nursing school is harder than any other class we've ever taken! You can do it! We all have to learn new ways to study for nursing, because we have to learn to think critically, where as before we could memorize the material and that was it. Be sure and read the thread "how many of you had to repeat a course". You'll see that you are not alone. You didn't make much below passing, so that shows that you are doing something right! Good-luck, and don't give up!!!

The Semester is over and Nursing process II here I come! I ended up with a B. I didn't do as good on my final as I would of liked but I will try harded next semester. :rotfl:

Thats great!!! I know how you feel the first time I got a 76 on a nursing exam I was like this has to be some kind of bad joke or something because I studied so hard. Guess what that 76 was this semester, I got a 92 on the next exam and a 90 on my final and ended up with a B+.

ugh!!! Nursing professors can be difficult at times, but we have a tough job. Here's a few hints that I hope you find helpful. I've been teaching nursing now for 7 years and have found this to be helpful to my students. 1. ASK QUESTIONS!! I love participation, it indicates interest and helps me as an instructor understand which teaching theories work best for my students. 2. If the author thought it was important enough to use bold ink,,,,ya better know it!! 3. Take each section of a chapter as an entity,,treat it as its own chapter. This way you will better remember specifics. Nursing is a difficult field, only if it's perceived to be difficult. When you're studying,,,disect your chapters, subtitle has specifics that we expect you to remember, this is the only way to learn nursing effectively. Hope this is helpful:)

I had a bad day today. I am repeating the first semester of nursing school I just took my last unit test tonight I got a 73% which is failing. I do have a 80% overall. But I still have my final worth 300 point. I dont think I will have trouble passing. Its just that it is disappointing b/c this is my second time. Last time I had a 73% overall at this time. So I guess I can look at it that way. Well I just needed to vent. Thanks

I have to repeat a semester too because I did bad on pharmacology and Assessment. GOD will see us through my dear. I AM GOING TO BE A NURSE BECAUSE THIS IS MY DREAM AND MY CALLING :chuckle .
