Ok this may seem a silly question...but what kind of bag do you use for school? I am not beginning my studies til June, so I don't know how much I am actually going to be carrying with me all day. My long days on campus when I was in AP2 and Micro were crazy... I carried my big texts, lab manuals, notes, laptop...etc.
I used a messenger bag but used my car as a locker much of the time, it was way too much to fit. So what works for you?
Tks :)
I ordered the High Sierra Powerglide- it's a rolling backpack that has a laptop slot and is supposed to be pretty large. I read all kinds of reviews and several nursing students gave it rave reviews on ebags.com. I ended up buying mine repackaged from Amazon for 48 bucks and am now waiting on it to arrive.
I'm a fan of the LLBean laptop backpacks. We're required to have a laptop in the nursing school I'm hoping to attend, and I have to have one in my current profession anyway. It will fit that plus books. A LOT of books. My current backpack has literally been around the world with me, and it has carried 30+ pounds of books plus my laptop without mishap. It also distributes the weight effectively across my shoulders. It's a bit pricey, but I figure the investment's worth it for something I carry around so much.
Right now I'm using a Dakine. I've never seen that brand around my area, so I bought it online...I was hesitant. I didn't think it'd be big enough to hold my books and supplies, but I was shocked at the space. I even had room left for my laptop! Really glad I bought this backpack and it's very cute! They're usually around $60, but I caught one for $47 new on Amazon. I have no complaints on the bag thus far!

Which Dakine do you have? I used the Prom my first semester of pre-req's but got a bigger backpack. I love the sturdy material and would love another Dakine but a bigger one than the Prom.
Since I am a former flight attendant I have all kinds of bags, both wheeled and the tote style. I am planning on using my TravelPro rolling overnight bag since I already know my laptop and tons of other stuff will fit it it plus it has the dividers and pockets. Just today I managed to find one on ebay for another girl for and won it for 60.00 including shipping. If you can find one in your price range I highly recommend one. Mine was used on an almost daily basis for 8 years, great warranty, and if you ever need to replace the wheels quickly you can grab rollerblade wheels cheap at walmart and they are super easy to change--under 5 minutes.

I am in need of the exact same thing, I start my clinicals next month and have a ton of books. I will for sure check out your website! Does anyone else know of anywhere online to buy the roll along bags such as a scrap booking bag (not a duffel) preferably under $50?
