Background Check

Hi , I just did a background check online for Houston Community College. It was on this websit called precheck. I was just wondering if everyones does it. It cost me 54 dollars or 52 i forgot. Anyway I was wondering if anyone did this already in case it was a scam.

Never heard of it. Normally, the school in which you are enrolled into the program does all of that for you. All you do is just fill out the information form giving them permission to do the background check and possibly pay a fee.

Some schools use a servicing company to do this for them - precheck is one of those companies. A local school district utilizes a similar group to get background checks on its volunteers.

ok, thanks. that's good to know because if i lost 54 dollars i would be crying right now because money is super tight right now since i quit my minimum wage job.

That's very cool! I wasn't aware that some schools use serviving companies for background checks. Learned something new today!! :)

They all do actually - this is not something they do themselves. This servicing company just happens to allow you to put your info in and pay online instead of on paper.

Group One is the background service for Dallas Community Colleges healthcare programs and DCC Nursing Instructors.

i had to do that for San Jac. The weird thing about it is that you don't get a copy of the report, it goes straight to the school
