I have missed these boards immensely. I have just now been able to pull my life together and post here again. Long story short.....my mother died November 8th after a 5 1/2 year battle with inflammatory breast cancer. I was devastated. My mom was my biggest supporter when it came to nursing school. I will miss her dearly, but know (hope) she will be with me for the rest of my journey. My school only allows for two clinical absences; therefore, I had to withdraw half-way through the Fall semester. I struggled through my grief over the holidays and have now returned for the Spring semester. Thanks to all of those who responded to my questions regarding my mom's hospice care. It helped me immensely. It's nice to be back. Well, I'm off to check out some of the boards.
Welcome back...I am so so sorry to hear about your loss. I know what you mean about you mom being your biggest supporter....:icon_hug: ....BIG hugs to you.
Oh gosh, I'm sooo sorry to hear about your loss. Big big hugs to you. You will succeed and do very well through nursing school. You have a very special angel making sure of it:)
I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I also lost my mom to breast cancer- it was the absolute worst thing I ever went through BUT I came out the other side a much stronger person. Keep your memories close to your heart, and know that the pain will lessen with time. Good luck!
