Congrats!!

I took mine this morning, too. I got 75 questions, but I also thought it was extremely difficult (21 SATA--are you serious????). Got the good pop up as well, so I hope the PVT is right!

Congrats! I had the good pop-up as well and I passed! 75 questions. I was also certain I failed but I guess that's a normal feeling after taking the NCLEX!

This is my story...

I have been studying for weeks now, I did the Rinehart Review (the authors of ExamCram do this live review), but it just didn't help that much. Their pharmacology section is good but the other stuff, not so much. Anyways, the past week, I have done nothing but do Saunder's 5th ed. CD mock exams and read rationale after rationale. This was VERY beneficial as the wording of the saunders questions were very much like the NCLEX, only the choices the NCLEX give make it much harder to pick an answer.

I memorized dozens of lab values which came in handy throughout the test, and YOU HAVE GOT TO KNOW YOUR PRECAUTIONS!!! Know airborne, droplet, contact, and standard backwards and forwards, it is crucial. Other than that, remember to go with your gut feeling after you narrow down your question, it will lead you right more times than wrong.

Also, don't be discourage when it doesn't cut off at 75. This is useless me telling you not to feel discouraged because you will if it doesn't but just persevere and grind it out till you finish. You'll forget about the 75 after you do a few more questions after that.

I really read this board alot up through taking this exam and your stories helped motivate me. Thanks for all of you sharing your stories and hope mine helps.

for those who passed are real NCLEX questions anything like NCLEX 4000 or Saunders questions?

I thought the NCLEX was exactly like the practice test questions I did from Lacharity and Lipincott. I also did the Hurst Review and that is the best review ever! I honestly don't think I would have passed without it. It has a 98% pass rate so you know it has to be good. I took mine this morning and finished in 75 questions. I also had about 20-30 SATA questions! I wouldn't have known that stuff without the Hurst though. I did the PVT and I got the good pop up! Now I'm just waiting on it to be official :smokin::dancgrp:

I am doing Hurst too...I hope it pays off! By Lippincott you mean NCLEX 4000 right?

I don't know? I think it's just called Lipincott NCLEX-RN Test Review or something. Seriously, if you learn the Hurst book you can feel confident going in there because I had very few questions that were not gone over in that book. I had TONS of SATA questions though! But they weren't so hard because I learned them in the Hurst book!

I already went through hurst review twice. I plan on doing it again. I have 3 weeks untill my test. I also do around 100 questions a day.

If you did Saunders, you are in good shape as far as I'm concerned. The wording of the questions are very similar, but the answers on the Saunders are much easier to discern.

I did mine last week. There were a lot of SATA. I was doing the questions in a hurry because I wanted to save time. I was also shut at 75! I left there feeling anxious and wondering if I will pass. I came onto this site and read a lot of threads that encouraged me. I learnt about "good pop up" and I checked mine and it was good pop up! It is true! I kept checking for two days and on the third day, I got the message in red turn to "you can check quick results by paying 7+ dollars". I was so nervous! I went on to check if it is still good pop-up before I proceeded! And it was still good! So then I went ahead to check! Oh I was soo happy to see PASSED.

For those that haven't done the NCLEX yet, Saunders is good. I dropped my ATI practice and bought saunders new edition and did it for 6 days. It is also advisable to look through the notes(lippincot or Saunders) for systems that that you do not understand(especially medsurge). Now what? I am done! No jobs!:yawn:

I wish you all the best of luck and don't worry too much, sleep enough the day before the exam to get your mind clear! And, eat enough to provide you enough glucose!

Good luck with your official results.
