Hi everyone!

I'm starting this thread for applicants that have submitted/are in the process of submitting their application for Fall 2020. I'm hoping we can all get together and discuss our experiences with the whole application and potential interview process ?

I'm currently in the process of finishing up my application and am extremely nervous about hitting that Submit button once it's finished. I don't have the best overall undergrad GPA, but was able to redeem myself a bit with my pre-reqs GPA. I am hoping that my personal essay and references will help increase my chances of being accepted *fingers crossed*.

The deadline is in exactly a month and I would like to say good luck to everyone!

Just curious, how did they contact you about the interview? Did they call or send an email?? Just curious to know what to look out for!

Hey @kinzey1128!

My friend told me that the questions are why APU and Nursing! How you manage stress and deal with difficult situations. How this program the right program for you. Hopefully this help, she applied at the main campus so l don’t know how are the other campuses interview will be. ?

Sorry I work nights so I’m able to respond better later in the day. Hello everyone That’s great @kinzey1128! I wish you the best, the process is stressful or maybe it’s just the wait. I didn’t apply early I applied mid September, because I still needed one more class to complete. Since I did not want to rush I started doing other things while I was waiting to finish up the class (references, statement, etc) Are all your classes complete? I have one more class, I got an email for a interview it looked flexible because the dates where first come first served. I picked the 22nd, so I’m guessing all October Mondays and Tuesday are interview dates all the spots are not full they reached out through email, but it also asked during the application how I would like to be contacted I said email. Was the writing prompt long? Did they tell you how long before they would respond?

I applied to the ELM program for fall 2020 at the IE campus. I had my interview yesterday. Interview was easier than I expected. The faculty will meet mid December to pick out 25 applicants. We will receive the results via email before Christmas.

It appeared that all interviews are this week and next week. The writing prompt is easy with no word count. Bring a pencil, unless you plan on using a pen.

Hey congrats! Would you mind me asking what kind of questions they asked during the interview? Thanks!

kinzey1128 There was a list of questions but she did not ask me all of them. Mainly, why you want to attend APU, she went over my career background, Why nursing, how do you handle stress and then explaining the program details and length. One thing I learned is that this is a 4 year commitment- my program representative said it was less than 3 years. They will have you sign a form stating you are aware of all the details and that if accepted you have 45 days to put a down a deposit of $1,000.

Hi everyone!

It seems like a lot of people who have had interviews/have theirs planned applied to the IE campus. Has anyone who applied to the San Diego or Azusa (main) campus heard back about interviews yet?

I also applied for the IE campus but haven't heard anything about an interview yet. Does anyone know if they are still contacting people or if all of the interviews have been scheduled already?
