I'm starting this thread for applicants that have submitted/are in the process of submitting their application for Fall 2020. I'm hoping we can all get together and discuss our experiences with the whole application and potential interview process ?
I'm currently in the process of finishing up my application and am extremely nervous about hitting that Submit button once it's finished. I don't have the best overall undergrad GPA, but was able to redeem myself a bit with my pre-reqs GPA. I am hoping that my personal essay and references will help increase my chances of being accepted *fingers crossed*.
The deadline is in exactly a month and I would like to say good luck to everyone!
Do you know how many acceptances they have for each campus ? I also applied and interviewed at San Diego!
Hopefully we will hear something by Monday! I was told each campus accepts 20 with 5 on standby. If any of the 20 selected elect not to attend then a standby will be notified. The individuals on standby are also guaranteed acceptance to the next term. I'm about to turn off these notifications and wait for the call/email! lol
Thank you! It does help a little bit. I was getting nervous because I was reading that some already received their acceptance to the program but it was main campus. The waiting is a nerve wracking;)
Feel free to contact an admissions advisor, maybe they have a better answer for you since I only contacted the program manager? I'm tempted to call them myself, but feel like I probably shouldn't contact them again haha. If you do happen to call admissions, please let me know what they say!
GREAT ! That means I was never even considered , I didn’t even get a phone call to set up an interview- I swear , I just feel like giving up ... I wish my rep would say - hey, you didn’t do good enough - or hey, this is what you are doing wrong ... THEY aren’t Helping me at all - I am so disappointed

Don't be so hard on yourself! Nursing programs statewide are competitive. The good thing about APU is they have three periods of enrollment. Catch the next one and in the meantime try to improve any soft spots in your application. Up your volunteer work, retake any science prereq where you did not get a B or better, and turn your application well before the actual due date. It sucks but don't give up!
