Azusa Pacific University Summer 2014

Hi! I just turned in my application for the APU ELM summer 2014 cycle. I don't think my stats are very good, so I'm a little worried. I have a 3.2 GPA from UCSD as a human bio major, 3.6 pre-req GPA, EMT for 1 year, and president of a volunteer organization. If anyone has similar stats and got in, it'd make me feel a lot better about my chances =)

Hey guys I just had my interview today and it was a phone interview since I'm from the Bay Area.. I spoke to professor esslinger and she said I would find out if I got in end of August via mail.. Also I applied to the Azusa campus . She also just told me what classes I still needed to take. I look forward to hearing from others!!!

Hi dave5673!

My undergrad GPA is 3.24, science prereq: 3.78, and non-science prereq: 3.6, so I would say I am on the average end. I do have a good amount of direct patient care and health care experience though. I also applied to Samuel Merritt and several schools on the east coast. I have been already accepted to Pace Univ which is in NY, but my first choice is APU so I am "patiently" waiting to hear back from them first.

Congrats on the acceptance!!^^ I like the fact that APU awards you with a BSN degree after the first 15 months and not just an RN like most other schools.. Does anyone know any other schools that do this?

It seems like some of us were told the decisions would be made by late August and to others by early September. I know that does not make a big difference.. except for those waiting on a life changing decision like we are :(

I think the San Diego campus was told that they would have a decision in August and the Azusa campus said the decisions would be made in September because the campus is closed for a few weeks in August.

Phieud not necessarily true Becuz I applied to the Azusa campus and on the phone interview they said I would know by end of August. However , when I emailed the school they said my application will be REVIEWED August 21 and so I'm assuming decisions sent out afterword.

@ hchumbar interesting I applied to the Azusa main campus as well and I did not know they review applications late August. Was it the program director who gave you that info? By the way do you mind sharing your stats with us?

Hey dave5673 yeah that's why I'm so confused! Did you have a phone interview or go in? I heard two different things from two different people from the school.. But I'm a Uc davis grad with a 3.59 cumulative GPA and I'm not sure what my science is.. But I have gotten all A's and B's. and I am also a certified nursing assistant (CNA)
