I'm applying to APU's NP program this January and am sooo excited and nervous! I'm really trying to get accepted to start in Fall 2011 as I don't want to wait until spring 2012. This is my first choice (I've already applied to another school here) and I've GOT to get in! Is anybody out there waiting for decisions or has advice for the application process? I would've applied sooner, but they just implemented a rule where you have to have 12 completed credits for science, so I had to wait until grades got posted.
Thank you Hannah for sharing! I was actually accepted to IE empire program for Spring 2013 but I got a email that there is an extra spot just opened in Fall 2012 in SD so I took that spot! So I will be starting in this Fall in SD!!! I hope you have fun in your program, too and wish you best luck!!!

Yay for Fall 2012 SD campus! I may be attending as well :) I'm so excited! One thing I am confused on (that I hope any of you may know) is: after the prelicensure part are we awarded with a second bachelor (BSN) and then after the masters granted an MSN? Also, if life happens and you can't continue on with the MSN, can you stop there and will you have a BSN? I keep getting vague answers in my emails to the school..

For the program I heard the BSN is granted first and then you get to work while finishing up the MSN program. I do not know if you can leave in the middle with only BSN....Not sure Have you tried emailing Ms. Tuckness??

Thats good you still won't be to far from home being from OC, so you can always visit on weekends if you wanted! I am originally from the Bay Area and went to SDSU for my undergrad, and now living in Manhattan. It was always my dream to live in NYC, so i figured until I start nursing school why not haha...but now I will be moving back which I am so excited for! I really miss SD. If you need any help determining where to live let me know, I am very familiar with the area. I definitely recommend living in Mission Valley, which is right where the campus is. I am on Face Book too if you wanted to connect just let me know and I will send you a PM with my info.
We should get a Facebook group going for fall 2012 SD! That'd be a great way for all of us to connect. I'm originally from North County SD so I'm going to TRY to commute. It's a 45-60min drive so we'll see once I know the workload =\ I actually went to undergrad at UC Irvine so I know the OC well too! :) yaaay
I am trying to prepare myself for starting the ELM program this summer and I was wondering what if anything others are doing to get ready. Does anyone have tips or experiences they would like to share?
I have research and human development in progress so I figured I'd take an intro Pharmacology class to get my feet wet. That's about it in terms of "getting ready"

hey guys, i received my acceptance letter! what other schools did you guys got accepted and why did you choose azusa? i'm trying to decide where to go. i got into a few of cal state schools. do you know where we'll be doing our clinicals? i could not find any of this information of the school web site. anything would help, thanks!
