Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone! I just got an interview at the Monrovia campus today! Now the waiting game starts. I just want to wish good luck and good hope to those who are also applying for summer!

Depends on each school. Some are 18 months.

How often do you have to be at school and how long is the program?

It’s 24 months and right now 1st term goes 2 days a week.

2 days a week for 24 months?? Cause I'm thinking of applying with them and at the same time I still want to continue working. Is this possible??

Yes, but the last semester it's one extra day with your preceptor. I still work and most of my classmates still work as well.

If I opted to do the LVN-RN 30 units option will it also be a 24 months program? Or shorter?

Hey ladies of APU. I applied for fall 2019, have my competency test in a few days. Freaking out, any advice?

Don’t freak out its general LVN knowledge like how to check BP or how to pass meds and check meds in a MARS.... be confident in your knowledge and super easy dosage and calculations in a written test.

Just got accepted into the fall session on IE campus, was wondering if the summer people that got in can share their first term experience. When does clinicals start?

Hi abbey86, so clinicals start in second term. You more than likely will Go to class one day a week and one day clinical typically it’s 12 hours(pack a lunch).

Thank u for the advice! Are clinical hours 7-7? Or earlier??

Hi I start in Fall and would like to know if anyone is done using their first term bundle of books? I was wondering if anyone would like to part from them or if anyone cam advise where to purchase the books cheaper ?
