Hi, I'm a US citizen living in Arizona. I'm also an LPN. Currently, I'm considering moving to Vancouver and would like some points on job market and housing. Thank you!

The housing rental market is insanely expensive. I think the average 1 bedroom apartment rents from $1300-1800/month now. And if you are looking to live downtown, you're looking at 1800-2200/ month for the same thing

You need to apply to CLPNBC t have your education assessed to see if you meet our standards. Two year diploma is required.

How to your plan on immigrating?

BC, especially the lower mainland is a very hard job market to crack. Preference is usually given to locally educated nurses.

Do you understand how Canadian healthcare works? Are you aware that Canadian nurses are unionized?

If you know nothing about Canada, why are you moving to Vancouver?

Doesn't answer he question of why you want to move north. Everyone has a reason, love, Mountie fetish, want legal cannabis, fleeing Trump, fleeing Obama(whenever there is an American election there are always I want to move to Canada posts)

Why do you need to know? I wasn't aware I had to tell ppl other than gov't officials.

The main question is how are you planning on moving. Which route are you going to take to be able to immigrate?

None of that should matter to any of you. All I'm trying to find out about are the LPN jobs/requirements and housing. Thank you.

Check out the clpnbc site for information about becoming like licensed in bc. You'll need to do the Nnas to prove equivalency. And be forewarned bc Lpns have a limited scope of practice
