I have only spoken with them on the phone and I used another company for this last assignment but my recruiter from Aya still keeps in touch the whole time. I haven't heard anything bad but I haven't actually had an assignment with them. Good luck!

I did an assignment with then years ago and they were great! Now that recruiter is gone but I have a new one

so I figured I'd give another shot. Leaving NYC to CA, I got a per diem travel job, whatever that means. So I get here to San Francisco and I have worked two shifts in the past three weeks! I have been getting cancelled every morning and my recruiter says be available for all shifts. So basically dont have a life and sit by the phone praying for a shift. So I signed up with another agency, my thing is that my recruiter is nice and I hate to play hardball but Im thinking I need to pick up and leave and change all my contact info or say there is some kind of "family emergency" and opt out. But I am not paying the $700 fee! because I havent even worked. So my suggestion, stay away, far away. I have a friend at Soliant and they are paying her alot.

I just wrapped up two years in NYC with Aya (formerly Access Nurses, NOT Axis, as someone else posted. Do some research.) and honestly I had no major problems. With each contract I signed my recruiter (who was lovely, and always available by phone or email) made sure to snag me more money. The company is smaller than others so definitely had fewer jobs overall than an agency like AM, but since I never left NYC this was not an issue.

Talking to other travelers on my unit who worked with ther companies I was making comparable money, so I know I wasn't getting shafted that way. Once they suddenly changed payroll companies so my direct deposit went in two days later, but since I got paid weekly instead of biweekly this wasn't a big deal.

Their health insurance package wasn't great, so I skipped it.

But I had a fine experience with them and would certainly use them again.

Ummm..."per diem travel job" means just that. A per diem position, not a full-time one. Moving cross country for a oer diem job seems sort of crazy...nothing personal, but I don't understand what you were expecting...

Without getting into too much detail, I just did an assignment with them and I would recommend you to look elsewhere.

Been talking with a recruiter from Aya healthcare they found me an assignment between two hospitals and told me that I needed to get all my compliance (immunizations,paperworks, even had me sign all the contracts, gave me a start date next week.haven't had much communication with the recruiter after I submitted all required documents and contracts, called her several times as well but has not returned my calls. She's finally returned my call only to tell me that they a postponing my hire date for another week after I have been waiting for 3 and a half week for it. I'm starting to think it is a scam, they keep giving me the same story over and over. Also the pay for floating in two hospitals is $26 an hour, and that's here in California, that's the same pay I was getting in Florida without me having to switch around from hospital to hospital. They also said I was not going to receive relocation pay because the place they're assigning me to is 3 hours away............ Any comments would be greatly appreciated :)

$26/HR is pretty low unless they are also giving you a stipend or paying your housing. I would be highly offended if I signed everything, got a start date & then couldnt get a call back.

I have been talking with them a lot lately also. Im not sure how I feel about them thus far. The recruiter was kind of...young sounding and alittle testy. I make it known up front I am working with multiple agencies...they say you shouldnt..of course they will say that...but I tell them "the one with the best offer is who I will take." WE pay their salaries and there is ALWAYS room tp play with figures. Dont let them tell you differently. There are a ton of agencies out there.

For me...so far Advantage RN is the best Ive dealt with with Onward coming in a close second. If you want to know more, you can contact me via email and ill give you my recruiters names. They are both wonderful.

I do not recommend some others that I will also tell you in private. (I have good reasons)

Just found this thread. I've worked several assignments with Aya. My recruiter is great and not too pushy. Even worked out a way to give me a better housing stipend.
