Does anyone know anything about the company? Schedule? Administration? Good company to work for? I have never done telephone triage before. I have a critical care and PACU background. I am looking for something more suitable for my home life (3 children and a husband who would out of town frequently). I have applied for the position and spoke with a recruiter. I would just like to hear from someone who has worked there.
Thanks! Any is advise appreciated!
Not even right now it is mandatory ot for nurses .
plan on working at least 40 hours a week. I was averaging 60 plus with ot.
The schedules are rotating days off 5 days a week you bid to gets your schedule and there is no deviation on the set schedule until you rebid or switch days off with another nurse who holds your liscensures.
They are all 8 hour shifts and most of the ones offered to me were for afternoon/evening hours. The schedules require you to work every other weekend. They also have some split shifts where you would work half your time in the AM and the other half in the evening. The schedules that are available are the ones that have been vacated recently so it is possible that other shift times could open up. The schedules either rotate days off or you will have a fixed day off so in either case you would be able to figure it out ahead of time.
They have fixed shift schedules. They recently introduced weekend alternatives three 10's but get paid for 40...and other part time 8 and 10 hr shift schedules. You get to pick your first schedule from what's available then if you want to change you have to bid based on seniority. Eventually everyone generally gets what they want, but it could take a year or so. Lot's of people are hired into day shift along with evenings and nights but currently the most needs are on evenings or split morning and then evening. Personally I wouldn't do a split shift...but there are people who like that. I do every other weekend, but they also have every weekend schedules and now the new weekend alternative schedules. Currently I work part time but I was there for two years before I dropped hours.
Run, don't walk, run away. Pay is below standard, constant micromanaging, benefits have been reduced every time you turn around, severe lack of communication, constant job openings because nurses get in and realize the picture they were given of the company was not the truth. Can't trust management even if you have something in writing, will quickly tell you it is a work at will state or leave if you don't like it. One supervisor would tell nurses quit cause nurses are a dime a dozen. Use to pay for internet as it is required for the job but dropped that, then were paying good bonuses for working extra but then decided they would require mandatory overtime instead

Hi
they are always hiring approximately every 3 months they cycle in new nurses to replace the nurses that do leave.
Best of luck it is a little bit of a process on boarding.
