I've noticed that there was not a thread for the AVC Spring 2021 nursing program and I wanted to make one so that anyone can share their thoughts and to give encouragement to anyone who needs it.
I've personally used a previous thread (AVC Fall 2020) which helped me figure out what I needed to do before I entered the program and the thread answered any questions that I had.
So don't be shy, ask any questions. If you have any questions for me I'd love to answer them. I hope all the best for everyone.

AVC nursing application deadlines are typically Sept 1 (to be considered for the Spring semester) and March 1 (to be considered for the fall semester, which is more competitive because less ppl are accepted compared to Spring). They removed waitlists. I think if you don't get accepted on your first attempt, you are automatically considered for the next rotation. If you don't get accepted then, I think they send you a letter. I would check with a counselor on that.
Since you are close to applying, definitely meet with the nursing counselor because part of the application requires a recent education plan. You can see if all your prereqs are set. Also, if you attended other colleges or have AP scores, I would start gathering transcripts together (including high school transcript) because it can take a few weeks to receive them.

Hi it's point based do you know hoe many points you're looking at? Also don't wait to be invited to take the TEAS if you do you will be waiting an extra semester. I'm also finishing up prereqs this semester and I recently talked to the counselor.

yes , so if I get good TEAS score, I should be at 85 points, the Microbiology that im taking at the moment is pretty easy, I’m confident that I’ll be able to get A.
