Hello everyone! I looked on here and didn’t see that anyone had started a thread for Antelope Valley College RN program Spring of 2022 so I figured I would start one. ? I just applied, and I was wondering if anyone knows how we find out the amount of points we are given in the application process? I saw another thread from years ago where people from AVC were posting their points, but no one had been active on it for a while. Looking forward to chatting with you all! ?

Hi! I’ve been waiting for someone to start this thread. This is how points are assigned. I’ll be applying with 75 points unless they give me hard time with language proficiency, so only 65 for sure.
OK got it! Thank you! Also I’m not a LVN, CNA or BA. I was told they are only accepting 40 new students. Do you know if the LVN to RN program is the same program as people who don’t have schooling for that and are looking to go straight into the RN program? For example, do you think that they are just admitting 40 people including LVNs all together? ?
Reading from past threads and looking through old class schedules, Spring semester only accepts applications for generic RN program with a total of 60 students. LVNs are also able to apply to the generic RN. For fall semester, they accept 40 students for generic and the LVN-RN bridge program with 20 for a total of 60.
OK good to know. The counselor I saw a few days ago told me they only accept 40 students, but maybe she was thinking of the fall semester when she said it. I hope 60 is the number! ?

Also applied for Spring. Seems we won't know anything until November.
Yep, now all we can do is wait. I’m just a little nervous about the points. Soooo, we will see. ?
Hard to know. It seems form the last few threads around 65 points is the cutoff recently. Might be a little inflated because of all the cheating from the COVID semesters.
Yeah that’s what I was seeing and I only have 55 points ??♀️?. So all I can do is just wait and see. I guess if not West Coast is always a option for me bc I can get a Bachelors.

does anyone know if they extended the deadline till October? I am taking my TEAS on Monday. They did this last fall.
As far as I know everything was due September 1st. That’s what the nursing counselor told me when I was waiting on my transcripts to be entered like 5 days or so before that date.

Do you know if you got in yet?
