Published

Hello, I thought I would start a thread for anyone that applied to AVC Rn program for spring 2020. I did and I’m trying to patiently wait.

Does anyone know what we do after we get the packet in the mail? And are classes given to us or do we have to pick our classes?? Trying to figure things out ahead of time! Any tips or advice related/unrelated welcome! TIA

There’s papers with different due dates that you have to turn in and then you’ll need to get the physical exam and stuff. Once you turn that in then you can register for classes.

HI,

My name is Selena, and I got accepted for the Spring of 2020. I was trying to look for any reviews for Antelope Valley Nursing program and it would be helpful if anybody can share their personal experience or if anybody knows friends that did this program .

Thank you

Has anyone been able to get a hold of the department? I wanted to see if they have sent out all the letters...

Does anyone know if this school is ACEN/CCEN accredited ?

I emailed Katherine and Sylvia and no response yet. ? Since I dont think they answer calls.

Does anyone know when classes are expected to begin?

Hey! I'm pretty sure that Sylvia Waller is going to go over that on Monday during our orientation meeting. I believe clinicals are being held at the antelope valley hospital. It's in the manual! And lecture hours are 4 hrs per week and clinicals are 6 hrs per week. I THINK! I read somewhere in the manual too.

Hope to see you there!!

Thank you so much for your response, I actually haven't been admitted, I wish! ?

I will be applying for Fall. Would you be willing to please share more details on the sites? and if there is a waiting list for this program?

I have not been able to reach anyone at the nursing department for more info. I just know that it is a very good program.

Congratulations on getting in!!

As far as I know we are only going to AVH for clinicals since it's the closest hospital to AVC. I dont think there is a waitlist but dont quote me on that lol The manual is accessible to the public ? just Google it. I wish you the best and thank you! I know the website doesnt provide a lot of info, but maybe the manual will answer some of your questions!

Also, Katherine Quesada is the Nursing counselor and you can always go in person to talk to someone (which is probably the only way you will get any information) ?

Hi guys I just wanted to know if 65 points is good enough to get into the program? I’m applying for fall of 2020 and I’m wondering if I should try to retake my teas to get the 70 points or is 65 good enough to get in!

Thank you so much, this is so helpful. You are right about the website not providing much info and the difficulty of reaching anyone for details. Thanks!!

Am in the process of applying for the fall program. Do I have to have up to 70 points to be accepted? Please your input will be appreciated. Any waiting list? how many days per week is their clinical and classroom lectures?

Thanks!
