AVC LVN to RN summer/ fall 2019

Hi, anyone apply to antelope valley college lvn to rn bridge. I am on the wait list. Not sure what number. Do you know when they are sending out acceptance letters. Anyone receive theirs. They have not answered the phones in over a week. Any one have any info??

Hi,

I applied last year and started as #53. The last I heard, I am #23 but I'm sure my # is better now. I got a letter from AVC last September asking if I was still interested in the program. The letter only gave 1 week for response though and I could see people not paying mind to it. I wish I knew something but I don't. I am clueless just like everyone else right now. They won't answer return any calls. Since I am on the border of getting in, I am nervous but I keep getting told that I will get in. I just wish I knew.

Yes me too. I got the letter.. I have not heard anything I don’t know my number . They stopped answering the phones! If you hear anything please post!

They assign you a # when you apply and as long as you have everything completed (per-reqs & TEAS VI). Yes they did stop answering calls and returning messages. I will post when I find out. I believe they said letters for the LVN to RN bridge program should be sent out mid April. Program starts June, so they need to get on it.

Hi...I spoke with the office today and I am told that my # is the same (23). She said that letters will be mailed sometime this month. So keep a lookout!

@1pinknurse Hi I saw that you said you were #53 when you applied, I am #53 now. I applied Aug 2018. (pre reqs and TEAS done) but I’m trying to figure out if I will be in by 2020 next summer, do you have any info as far as how your waitlist number drops? I know you guys are anxiously waiting for your acceptance this summer! I’m sure you all will get in! I actually called today to get my number, she didn’t seem too annoyed today. Haha I’m actually interested to hear when these letters get sent out.

For the LVN to RN program, your # will drop once the program starts this June. So your # will decrease after July or so. I applied 3/18 and was #53 then I was another # for a while till I got to my current # 23. I can not recall the # I was in the middle. Your # will drop from program starting and from students dropping. I am pushing it with my # being 23 but I still have a chance at being an alternate. Well, that's good! LOL....Did she tell you anything? I think it is good if you have your classes all done and TEAS completed. Did they send you a letter in Sept to ask if you were interested? Letters should be getting mailed this week. Just sucks to wait on mailman...hahahaha

Thank you so much for that info, I’ll be crossing my fingers for a year ? So they take 20 students, and how many alternates? What exactly is an alternate doing? Haha I’m assuming if you got that letter asking if you’re interested, then it’s a go for sure! I did not get one. I got the letter last year inviting me to take the TEAS with them, I passed it with AVC, and now it’s the wait game. So hopefully I will get that letter this Sept ? Hope the mailman comes soon! Keep me posted!

I think 3 alternates. I am not 100% sure. An alternate is an additional student. I am not sure till I get there. I sure hope the letter i received is a show in but who knows. We should be hearing this week ?
