Hello! I am an Aussie RN from Melbourne Australia. I am very interested in working as a nurse in America due to family reasons. Especially interested in Tennessee, Texas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Colorado or Arizona. I have completed a 3 year bachelor course in Australia and am concerned that I may not have the required obstetrics and pediatric hours required. Is there a course I complete in Melbourne or even in the USA to make up these hours? I would love to know where to begin the process of moving to the USA. i would like to add that i was an IV drug endorsed enrolled nurse for 5 years prior to an RN in case that helps. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

No. I did the same thing. They are considered separate services.
You will need to pay for a CVS as well; however if you have already provided them with documents as evidence for the CES they will transfer over and you won't have to resubmit them.

Yep!
Things were very straightforward with the NYBON.
The only downside to this is that some states won't accept your endorsement without the further education. I know you can transfer NY to Texas, but you can't work in California or Hawaii because they will run their own CES and your deficiency will be an issue.
Texas is a compact state so I think you will be able to work in any of those (search for compact state nursing). But I don't have my compact license yet because I don't need it yet! Not sure what that entails, I think I just have to verify Texas residency or something. They like to make everything as confusing as possible!
Hi,
my name is Dola, I did my Master of nursing in USYD. I have been on this journey since 2020. I found this trend today. I really appreciate your effort here.
I had my report from CGFNS for Arizona state board, Which was declined due to maternal and child Health clinical placement hours. wasted a lot of money on this already.
With NY board of nursing, should I just continue with CGFNS since they have all my documents already or apply directly with Ny board of nursing. I am asking this question because my report from CGFNS laid emphasis on the deficiencies. just worried if this may impact NY board of nursing decisions.
Please help
Thank you .

Yes, it will be faster because CGFNS has all your documents already. Apply for a CES with them and you can try NY.
The same thing happened with myself and Texas. It would not impact the NY decision at all.

I am Australian Nurse too, got my RN Nursing license with Montana, currently in WA. I had look through the SSN and E3 issues as well.

Hi Annie,
Good afternoon! Would you mind if I ask you questions regarding license endorsement to WA? I'm afraid I may not be able to accept due to lack of Pediatric and Obstetrics.

Hey!
Again, I did everything myself so I have no experience with agencies. Are you AU trained and wanting to work in the US?
A quick Google search I found https://www.ogradypeyton.com/about-us/ there will be a lot more though.
If you are US trained and looking to work in the AU you could try Healthcare Australia; I did per diem with them for a while and met a few USA nurses.
