Just wondering who else is waiting on acceptance for Fall 2009 for ACC? I am about to go crazy waiting till May 1st! :uhoh3:

Speaking of online, has anyone heard current students' opinions about the online course?

I've hired a lot of GN's who have taken online and in class. Everyone really likes the online class, you have to be very disciplined though. They seem to have a maturity because of the discipline it requires.

Thanks for the info. That's good to hear. I've been working from home full-time for ten years, so I think I have the discipline stuff down.

Now I just can't wait to start!

One more question.....how was the HESI test for you guys?? Did you do well? Is it something you can study for ahead of time? I have heard that none of the review books really helped on the actual test.

Yay - Congrats!

I, too, am curious about the Online option, HESI pointers, and the points you all were finding were required for admission. My goal is to apply for the Fall 2009 class so fingers crossed I'll be jumping up and down with some of the other allnurse readers *next* year!

Yeah one thing I can never get a clear answer on is how the ranking system is based. I read the website. Is the ranking based just on your GPA in the 5 pre-req classes X the number of degree courses completed? Or is the ranking based on the GPA in ALL of the degree courses completed. This summer I will complete all my co-reqs with only my Physiology pre-req waiting for me this fall. So does that mean that by the time I apply, my GPA will be compiled using all 10 of the non-nursing degree plan courses or just the 5 pre-reqs?

Your ranking calculates all classes you have taken, so the more you take the better your ranking can be...if you do well in the classes.

I'm super bummed. I thought I would make it in this round. My rank was 47.4. Anyone else not get in? I wonder what the cut off was this round? Last semester it was somewhere under 45. Ugh I am so tired of waiting.

Don't give up hope just yet. Sometimes people defer..I deferred 4 times before I accepted my spot. One semester I didn't get in when the initial letters went out, I was 136/204, they accepted the top 94...They wound up calling me offering me a spot in the online program. I will keep my fingers crossed that lots of people defer so you can get in. ;)

I'm sorry little bird. Maybe some people will decline, so you can get in. How long have you been waiting? Have you thought about going to UT? I hear Texas State is also preparing to open their nursing school.
