Austin Community College ADN Spring 2020

Hi pre-nursing students!

So I know it's extremely early but I figured I'd go ahead and start a thread for Spring 2020 applicants. I'm a huge worry bug and have tons of questions and would love to give and receive advice throughout this process. I'm completing my last two prerequisites this spring and will be applying when the application opens on May 15th! Tell me about your journey and ask questions about mine!

And I actually don’t mind the teal! At least it isn’t white ?

RNSG1105 010 FALL 2019 This is the book we need. It's probably in the book store already. I hope they email us ahead of time to let us know any additional things we need for the class instead of finding out the first day.

I know it could be a worse color like white or this weird nude color my friend had to wear.

I actually went through the publisher for the book, it was cheaper than anywhere I could find it and free shipping at the time I ordered it.

Yea I've tried to click on it and it doesn't take u anywhere to buy it?

I might just get the real and reuse it if I get in since I think u can use any teal scrubs and just purchase the adn patch separately and sewn it on

I've read that some books for the program are made specifically for ACC's ADN program so that one may only be available in the campus bookstore if you can't find it by searching the ISBN.

Hey! I applied for Spring 2020 as well. I just registered for the nursing skills class. I’m wondering what campus y’all are considering? I’ve heard some people prefer the RRC but some prefer EVC. What kinds of things have y’all heard? Thanks!

I think you rank the three campuses in order of preference. I’m near north ridge so I’ll probably rank mine RRC, CEC, EVC.

For the skills class, I went with Cypress because it's the closest to the house but for campus rank (hopefully) will be RRC, EVC, CEC. A lot of it comes down to traffic since I'm in Leander.

It would be so cool if some of us had skills together at Cypress and then ended up in the cohort at RRC! Head start on study group!
