Austin Community College ADN Fall 2020

This is getting real and I'm eager for someone to be nervous with. I'm waiting for them to announce the Fall 2019 HESI, and am worried I'll drop the ball on something. Let's make a community here!

OMG same! I remember on the last day of Nursing Skills my instructors had told us that like the first week there would be a checkoff on Vitals and I'm just wondering how I should practice if the labs are closed.

I remember that too. We were encouraged to still practice even if we wouldn't be starting the program the next semester.

One of my NRSG Skills Profs gave an impromptu list of topics to make sure are fresh upon entering in the fall. Among them were vitals and the cranial nerves/what they do, but I can't find the rest of the list.

Help?

Also, another week??!?!?! Ughhhh

Cranial nerves?! I can't think of anything that we did in the beginning that required cranial nerves. It comes into play when learning about assessment but not in a major way.

You need entry/exit measures and vitals for your skills checkoff. You need dosage calculations for your dosage exam.

I would guess for sure vitals and entry and exit measures!! I know girl I’m so nervous and hate waiting. I can’t believe they extended the acceptance letters due to “unforeseen circumstances “ . They better not be talking about COVID because we’ve known about that LOL

I'm getting so restless, waiting for acceptance letters to come through. I'm a 36.57 ranking because I was still in ethics this semester. ? My GPA was multiplied by 6 instead of 7. Ugh. Now I'm hearing the rumors that they might not accept at full capacity.

When they send acceptance letters out do they send alphabetically like rankings or will they send in order of ranking number? Does anyone know?

I’m pretty sure they sent them out last year alphabetically.

I heard the same thing about not accepting at full capacity ? I was hoping it wasn’t true but I guess if others are hearing that also

Deannaleee don't take my word for it necessarily. I heard that here in this thread. I emailed my health sciences advisor and HE said he hasn't heard that at all.
