I'm a Fall 2010 applicant at ACC and thought it would be nice for all the Fall 2010 hopefuls to have our own thread to share exciting news, information, and support with each other.
I turned in my application last Friday (Dec. 18th) after taking the HESI exam. I feel good about my scores but I anticipate competition for the Fall spots is going to be quite fierce. After that large applicant pool for Spring I think we will see a lot of re-applicants applying with the 5 extra re-application points. Not sure what that will mean for the ranking scores but it will be interesting to see . . .
Haven't heard a peep yet, and I got my CBC clear on Friday afternoon. It doesn't look like anyone has gotten permission, if the course schedule is to be believed. (I noticed that the student kit ordering info hasn't been posted yet, either.)
If I weren't at work where people could hear me, I'd call the ADN office and ask when we can expect the registration clearance notifications...
It looks like the August ship date is given in the dropdown "menu" on the initial ordering page. It looks like they put ordering instructions in the wrong place. I'm sort of hesitant to place my order until their site is squared away...
I can't believe it's been another whole day and we haven't gotten our registration clearance yet. *sigh*
I go for my CNA licensing exam tomorrow...so by Murphy's Law, the registration email will be sent tomorrow. I know this because it's the only time this week when I won't have access to a computer to register.
I emailed the office and said that the site didn't have a choice for campus location and they responded to pick fall and go ahead and order. When you get your order confirmation, there is a link that you can check on the status of your order. the site definitely have issues but i went ahead and ordered. Everything seems good so far.
I was at barnes & noble the other day and saw that the Nurse's Drug Guide has a 2011 edition now. Our list says 2010 edition. Do you guys think you will just get the 2011 since it is the most recent?
I was just looking at books last night and wondered the same thing about the 2011 edition.
Was also confused by the "Retail Edition" vs "Nurse's Edition" available online. The textbook list ISBN refers to the "Retail" version but my inclination would be to buy the "Nurse's" one. Couldn't find any information on differences - total page numbers seem to be the same.

Do you know if they let you bring in your own teal scrubs and they could sew on the patches to those or do you have to buy the scrubs there?
