Nursing Students School Programs

Hey y’all, just starting a thread for all of us who applied to be in the Fall 2022 cohort. I figured that it might be nice for us to have a place to communicate since we all feel like we’re in the dark. Fingers crossed that we all get spots!

ahh, finally a thread for us! I had searched several times and never thought to create one. This was my 2nd time applying and I'm hoping we get the e-mails soon ?

This is my second time at it too! Fingers crossed! If you don’t mine me asking what is your ranking score? @hopefulnursetracy

This time around I've got 42.68..last semester I was at 33.13. I feel more confident this time, but also still know there's a lot of competition! How are you feeling?

Oh yeah, I believe you will most definitely get in!
When did you take nursing skills? and with who?

I took it last Fall with Charlotte and Lori..can't remember their last names though! I really liked them, but it was frustrating for so much of the class to be online.

@Selboats What about you? Have you taken it yet?

I just took my skills class, so unfortunately it will not be counted towards my application this time. Totally sucks. I’m sitting with a 34.33.
so I’m really on the cusp

@hopefulnursetracy

please let us know when you get your acceptance. I’m in a group chat with a few from my nursing skills class and we are on pins and needles just waiting!!
good luck! I hope we get to see you each other on the other side!!

aw, that is a bummer..but that is an awesome score! The past 2 semesters' cutoffs were lower(33.9 in Spring 21, 34.04 in fall) so I hope the best for you!! I know how nerve-racking it is to be so close to the cutoff though. One of my classmates from Skills then got in with a 34 after some people turned down offers. I have hope for you ?

This waiting game is driving me crazy!

Do you guys know by any chance which campus is better to choose? Round Rock EAst view or CEC?

I've read in the past that EVC and CEC have reputations for being more "chill" while RR is a little more intense, but I live right in the middle of all of them and I might choose RR just to avoid downtown traffic. But RR can also get super backed up, so who knows. One of my skills teachers worked at CEC and I adored her, so I remember thinking that's where I wanted to end up ?‍♀️
