Aurora University Applicants 2014

Published

Hey, I'm officially waiting on the acceptance to the nursing school of AU. I got my TEAS V score today and its a 72. Not too happy with it, but honestly I only studied the science portion and for a week. So I guess it's not too shabby. I have a GPA of 3.5.

Hopefully I've caught the eyes of other AU applicants out here. Feel free to share your scores and hopefully we get in!

PaulDee you work at CDH? I live two minutes away walking from cdh! how did you get a job there?

I do work at CDH! I volunteered there throughout high school, and knew a person who knew a person, etc.. It is quite difficult to get a job at CDH; I applied many times! I would never think twice of leaving even in the nursing program. I am more than willing to lessen my hours however, since I am working almost full time!

If you all decide to go to AU (and I'll hopefully make my final decision very soon) I would like to make a Facebook page to keep in contact? We could maybe even take classes/study together?

Nice! Keep your CDH! Its honestly a dream job, ive been applying there I even had contact with one of the managers but they said there was no positions open. I am willing to even do housekeeping there lol. You will probably have to work part time but the best part is you will still get very good benefits. I am definately going to AU, so i am totally down for the FB page.

Be positive and be stress-free... I'm pretty sure everyone could find a good job as a nurse if you are a good students....so lets focus on passing all our classes :-) If you don't need to work don't, but some of us, (like me) need to ...I work as a dental assistant and the office opens at 9-5pm and I don't think I could work around that. Probably 10-15 hrs a week, so I could pay for gas and books, but if I can't my priority always will be school and my family. I'm glad most of us live in so near. I'm a minute away from college of dupage, its not so far from cdh. If someone decides to open a facebook page, let me know. :-)

That's awesome that you work at CDH ! I feel like Ive applied there a hundred times! I think Im gonna go to AU instead of NIU. im about 5 minutes away from AU, and not having to commute will be amazing. I set up a meeting with an advisor for april 2 :-) ! Im so excited for all of us.

Yayyyy! Btw let me know what pathophysiology class you guys register for, i am planning on takig it in july, also did anyone get the dates for the nursing session?

(pathophysiology) one class is already full for June- July and another class their is just 7 seats open for June-July. July-august class -25 seats open....well, I decided to register for patho for June 02-July05 t,th...I personally want to have July and august for summer break :-) and getting prepared for nursing school.

Ahhh. Ill try to register for the june-july ! If not I'll do the other one.

I'll open a FB page soon, or anyone can do that if they'd like :)! I'd want to take patho in July probably. And no, I haven't heard anything about the nursing info sessions. Maybe they're closer to May? I have a meeting with an advisor for April 2 @ noon. I'll let you all know if I learn anything new. :)

Nursing information sessions are in may and they are going to send an email to call to set up the date.... :-)

Woohoo Im registered for the summer and fall!

Me Too! Im excited! the only thing that sucks is i have to take an extra class at cod thats 4 credit hours, whats an easy class you can take for four credit hours?
