Aureus Medical - Anyone with experience with this company?

I am new to the travel world, and I am working on trying to get an assignment through Aureus Medical. Has anyone had experience with this company? I am looking to going to North Carolina. Thanks :)

Google "Aureus travel nurse reviews" and do some reading. In my opinion, they are the worst agency in existence for travel nurses and have held that spot for over a dozen years. They are seriously ethically challenged and have an equally despicable business model that seems to consist of "churn and burn" and preying on new travelers. Experienced travelers don't work for them.

Aureus us started by supplying local radiology staff and then travel and they do treat allied health travelers well. You can find some positive reviews on non travel nurse specific sites but almost invariably these were obviously written by Aureus (did I mention they were ethically challenged?) or an allied health traveler.

No matter what you read online, never put all your eggs in one agency. Only by calling lots of agencies will you learn who is honest, what your fair market rate is, and who to work further with. I do applaud you for checking here first, but there is no shortcut or substitute for spending time talking to lots of agencies.

I work with Steve Kreutzer at ADEX travel nursing.. He is a good guy to work with. ADEX pays better than a lot of other companies. STAY AWAY from AMN. Aureus has mixed reviews. Shop around, but remember a lot of recruiters will lie to you. Thats why I stay with Steve.

I work with AMN and have no complaints thus far. I think it depends on your recruiter and your relationship with them. There's going to be positives and negatives about every company.

Same here. Good recruiter on my end too...

I contacted my old manager because I wanted to be home for around 6 weeks before the holiday. She told me the best avenue would be to go through the agency they work with which happens to be Aureus. I had never heard of them but feel good about the rate they gave me and they are also providing me with full tuition reimbursement for an RN-BSN class I'll be taking during the contract. I just started this week so we'll see how it all plays out but so far I can't say I have any complaints. I have a very responsive recruiter there.

I have a great recruiter @ AMN and have been with her for an entire year. Anyone bashing this company just didn't have the right recruiter or just believe the hype of others.
