Augusta Univ-MSN/CNL- Fall 2019 Entry

Hello Everyone! Is anyone here planning to apply to AU MSN/CNL program for Fall 2019? Also, is anyone here who is currently in the program? Too bad the forum doesnt let me PM yet to users. [h=1][/h]

My app went under review 01/31 and I submitted my app Dec 26th.

I got a call this morning from someone from the college of nursing letting me know that I should expect admissions paperwork in the mail within the next 2 weeks. I'm assuming that's a good thing then?

For everyone who has gotten the background check form... Did that come from admissions or from the nursing program?

I submitted my app on Dec 11th and it went under review on Jan 31st as well. I hope you hear good news soon. I’m still very nervous since I haven’t received an actual letter yet. I saw your post about being accepted into the ABSN program. How long will they hold your spot for that program? I’m guessing you’d prefer the MSN program over the ABSN program, right?

It was on required documents not received after my application status was updated to "Decision made by Admissions Committee; notification is by mail"

Okay, I have only gotten the phone call saying to expect admissions documents. My status has not been updated on the AU website.

Your status on the website should update within the next few days or so. I called nearly 2 weeks ago and they told me the same thing they told you this morning. I got the status update this past Friday. I hope you hear good news soon! The wait is definitely nerve wrecking.

My friend was waitlisted back in December but suddenly his status gave him an email (it used to say not applicable) and a background check requirement. Hopefully that's a good sign though he hasn't gotten a call yet! So maybe they're making decisions based on waitlisters as well.

For anyone who had the GRE waiver, how long until your application was no longer showing as incomplete? I just tried calling admissions again and they said the same thing but I had an overall of 3.43 so I met the requirement..

I definitely would rather get into the MSN program but I went ahead and applied to the BSN too bc I don’t want to wait a whole year to apply for MSN again if I get denied. I accepted my seat for the BSN so if I get into this program I’ll call them and tell them. The program starts in 2 months so my nerves are so bad not knowing what program I’m going to end up in.

I was told that every time the committee meets, they go through those waitlisted.

Oh! I wasn't sure. Well he emailed them asking about it and they said he will find out by mail (even though I guess they used to do waitlist updates via phone) but that historically most waitlisters get a seat. I'm just letting this thread know hoping to benefit any other people that are on the waitlist!
