I don't see a group yet started for admission to the Fall 2018's Augusta U MSN/CNL program. I have read through the forum of the Fall 2017 group and it seems to have been very informative!
I am excited once this group starts getting some members, so we can discuss the process (and adventure?!) of applying and finishing pre-reqs!
I am a second career applicant who works full time as an office assistant to two MDs and 1 BSN now. I have previously been a CNA and worked as a PCT in a small rural hospital on the med/surg floor, but then went on to get a BA in English from UGA. After having been an assistant for 4 years and out of school for quite a few more, I am excited about starting this RN program and still question why I didn't do this from the beginning :-) Oh well, I feel I have a lot of real world experience now and I am a much better learner then before! I have four pre-reqs left. A&P 1 and 2, Microbiology, and Human Development. I am planning on trying to CLEP the Human Development course this fall. Currently in the waiting process for acceptance into the Perimeter Campus of Georgia State University to start the other courses.
Looking forward to talking with all of you!
Has anyone chosen to do the professional transcript entry? I know it takes up to 10 business days for them to input your transcripts in for you but I'm trying to figure out the average time.
I'm going to answer my own question just incase anyone else had the same one since I called and ended up asking:
Right now, if you do professional transcript entry they are working at an 8 to 9 business day pace instead of the max of 10 business days.
Also, they are taking an average of 1 to 2 weeks instead of the full 4 to verify transcripts.
Hey everyone! I wanted to give you a timeline of my application process for Augusta Campus:
-Applied with References Submitted/Transcript Submitted 09/14/17
-Interview Notification 10/11/17
-Interview 10/20/17
-Application Status Check to Decision Made on 11/2/17
-Decision Letter Received 11/7/17
Needless to say, I have been accepted to the Augusta Campus! I am overwhelmed with excitement! I came into this application process skeptical and that they would never choose me because I considered my Overall GPA (3.10) as uncompetitive. DO NOT doubt yourselves! My prayers are with everyone applying and that you continue to chase your passion and dreams!

Congrats!!! That is so awesome! I have my interview Friday so fingers crossed I get some good new like you did!
Hey, guys.Just wanted to chime in on my timeline so far to relieve some of your anxiety.
I submitted my application on 9/6. Transcripts verified on 9/26 (I think mine took so long because I had 3 different universities to verify). Contacted for an interview on 10/11. Interviewed in Augusta on 10/20. I was told that it could be around 6 weeks before I receive a letter saying yes or no.
Good luck to everyone!
I just wanted to update this and answer someone else's request of listing my stats.
I received my acceptance letter today (11/7) and will be attending the Augusta campus in the fall!
My stats are as follows:
GPA: 3.8
Cumulative GRE: 298 (note to self: do not schedule exams during finals week)
LOTS of extracurriculars both on and off campus
Current hospital work experience
Again, good luck to all of you!
Hey guys, I have quick question. Every time I check the webpage for the Augusta University application check, it just says my application is incomplete. It says it is missing GRE scores, but it shows that I took the MAT, as well as all other documents that are needed? I was wondering if anyone else is encountering this as well?

Where are you seeing this at? NursingCAS?

Hi!
I was wondering how likely to have internships done in Metro Atlanta if enrolled on the Athens campus. I really like the program, however, I may need to stay in Atlanta due to family concerns. It seems that the first semester is mainly campus based while other semesters are clinical based.
Thanks and good luck to everyone!
