Augusta Tech Fall 2015

U.S.A. Georgia

Has anyone applied to Augusta Tech's ADN program for Fall? I can't wait to find out who's been selected; the anticipation is probably going to kill me.

I agree, it is a long time. My gpa is 3.4 not including the classes I'm in right now and I made a 70 overall on the TEAS.

Does anyone mind posting their scores and their gpa to ease the anticipation? July is a long time to wait.

That is pretty good, I was not able to finish the reading portion of my TEAS, which hurt my score a lot. I ended up with a 64 overall, and my GPA is currently a 3.6. I do not think I will get in with my TEAS score being as low as it was; I am so disappointed in myself, because I did a lot of studying for that TEAS, and was not able to see my TRUE score.

I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about. I'm not happy with my TEAS score either. I did horribly on the science because I took it before taking Micro or A&P 2 so it was hard for me, plus science is my weakest subject. We only need to make 58.7% overall on the TEAS and the counselor said that 70% of how you're ranked is from GPA and the other 30% is from the TEAS score. Your GPA is definitely higher than mine.

Ok so grades are in and my GPA is 3.57 with a teas score of 70.

Good job! Mines went down to a 3.5. My A&P professor seriously hurt my GPA, I had 4.0 until I met her. Lol

I know we can't name names on here, but I swear I know exactly who you're talking about lol. I had her last semester which is why I had to retake the lecture part for A&P 2.

So how does that work when signing up for it? Being that the lab is a co-requisite? I'm thinking about retaking it. Did you take her for a second time? Are you applying to Aiken as well? I seriously just asked you like a thousand questions.

LOL! I seriously don't mind the questions. What I did was add the lecture and lab then email the counselor letting her know that I didn't need the lab so could she remove it. That way I got the lecture time frame and teacher I wanted. You could also just tell her that you need the lecture class and ask her to add it on for you, but I would recommend going in person for that because if you send the email, by the time she emails you back, the one you wanted may be filled. I did not take that teacher a second time, I'll pm you with the teacher that won't allow you to fail because you should take her. I actually prefer Augusta Tech because it's much easier to get in, they have a higher pass rate than Aiken and I heard the teachers are better. If I don't get accepted, then I'll try for Aiken for Spring. I would only have 28 points with Aiken. I've read of people getting accepted with as low as 21 points, but that would only depend on how many people already have more points than you. Are you applying to both?

You have some pretty good insight. I am applying to both, because I want to try every option available. Hopefully you get in, my mind is set and I don't think I will, but I am still hoping I am.

You have to think positive, we have about the same amount of chance of getting in. Our scores are not far from each other. How do your points look for Aiken?

I know, I'm such a pessimist.

Oh my gosh! I am SO glad I found this forum! I too have applied for the ADN program this Fall... I am so nervous and feel like I've annoyed the few friends I made while taking core classes to the point of where I'm sure they want to punch me in the face! So here I am... Let's talk about it!
