Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Wow so were gonna be in school everyday of the week. I dont like having to be at school from 5-7pm but whatevs we gotta do what we gotta do. I wonder whats in that orientation packet and if we have to buy it?

I am way off. I remember one of the health science staffs at North Campus telling me they would be accepting 300 students. I was thinking that number would be only for North Campus.. 90 students in one class would be a big class..

When I originally turned in my application to Nichole at Central, she said they accept 300 students. It is 90 students per campus. But I also remember hearing my teachers always say a lot of students drop out of the program the first week. Hopefully we will all make it! Goodluck everyone!! :)

I don't like the idea of taking evening classes, especially 2 hours of pharmacology in a class of 90 students. During the evenings, I tend to get very exhausted with severe headache. I don't like the direction the program is heading.

Does pharmacology last the whole semester? if yes, it's gonna be boooring as an evening class.

Olkan, drink some green or sweet tea like camomille and mint before each class, it should help with your headache. Try not to become addictive though.

Math is like 4 weeks and pharmacology is the whole semester.Process I is half semester and process II is second half of semester.

Thanks, I will definitely try it; I am using Tylenol. Pharmacology will last the entire semester.

Anyone done the test for the Florida Law and Rules yet?

I'm wondering if this is right?

On the South Campus class schedule handed out at the pre-admissions session, you have to choose 1 Process Lab I, and 1 Process Lab II and on the schedule it's either Tuesday or Wednesday from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

Now, on the Central Campus e-mail, Process Lab I, and Process Lab II are Tuesday & Wednesday from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

Am I looking at something wrong here?

Hello for central. The first 2 weeks of process 1 labs are both Tuesday and wed and after that you have to goes with your instructors schedule or either Tuesday or wed. For process 2 lab, the first week you have to attend Tuesday and wed and after that it's either Tuesday or wed.
