August 2014 for Broward College

Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

I talked to someone in the LRC at Central Campus a couple weeks ago. She told me this will be the last term where the program is open-ended. They basically change the requirements almost every year. I wouldn't be surprised if they add other classes that must completed before applying and raise the hesi scores...

The hesi scores are good for 2 years so you're ok

Do the best you can. Always shoot for above 80 since that is what the change was a while back (85 for reading, 80 for all others). :) Good luck!

about the HESI you can take it on Saturday but the cashier office is close on Saturdays, so if u wanna take it on Sat try going there before Sat to pay. lolll

LOL omg I'm so glad you said that, I was definitely going to pay on Saturday. Looks like I'll be spending my lunch break at the school on Friday to pay smh
