Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

No. ...This summer. Everyone did.

Makes no sense. Stauffer sent students home for wearing their polo before summer started. I've NEVER seen a student wear polos in South and I've been in the program a little over a year. Oh well, I'd still stay on the safe side and wear scrubs to class. Wouldn't want to wear a polo and be sent home randomly.

Just spoke to the boyfriend. He goes to South. He clarified that some instructors will allow polos but in general, if you take a second and look around you'll see him and everyone else wearing scrubs. It's just trying to avoid the hassle that other instructors or Stauffer may create. So, I stand corrected. I guess you can wear polos, just know Stauffer dislikes them and it is her department. Congrats on starting the program! For process students it's gonna be a hell of a ride until you finish Demo 1 and Demo 2, but you guys can you it! Plus it's fun! :))

Today was crazy. Im overwhelmed and exhausted but so proud of everyone. Our theory teacher was funny which was a relief. Math teacher was great too. Alot of reading and printing too! Im terrified of tomorrow though. Wonder if well get to leave before 8:30pm?

Generally you'll have your math exam. Then you'll learn to do vitals and other simple skills. :) It's going to be a fun week for you. :)
