Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

I don't see anything wrong with your scrub top,, mines looks exactly the same.

Hey guys I am thinkin about renting some of the textbooks we need. I can rent them for a semester.

Does anyone know if we are going to need some of them for longer than that?!?

You'll need Perry and Potter for the year and the Med-surg book for GI/GU, ortho, and some cardio. Books for specialties are just for the term you're taking it. :)

Thanks so much!! Just to be sure when you say we need the perry/ potter for the year, you mean until dec 2014 right?

Hi,

The scrub tops I bought from North campus is a little different, it say associate degree nursing or something like that, I don't have it in front of me.

I think the one she's wearing is the old one. The one you have is the new one.

Either one is fine. What matters is that the logo is present. Also I bought my scrub bottoms from UA. I prefer the elastic band and plus they're soft. :) BC bottoms never fit me well.

So true. BC bottoms look awful on me. Any other places to buy bottoms?

I agree, the scrubs look crappy for their cost, mine are huge. You can get pants at discount scrubs on royal palm near La Parrila, Walmart has too, or all uniform wear near Ruby's academy on Sunrise blvd, or festival flea market has a store that sells scrubs too.
