Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

by August 13 you can use financial aid to buy books

I bought my stethoscope(littmann classic 2 S.E.) at allheart.com a friend of mines that goes to central told me to get it there they are the best beacaue the ones they sale at the bookstore aren't as good.I bought my penlight on amazon make sure you buy the ones with batteries.

I went there as well, and they never told me about lab bills........did you talk to their office manager, I think hr name is Jessica (don't quote me) if not ask to speak with Dr. Houston he is the owner

The stethoscope came to be 85 with shipping but it's a good investment because you will also use it after nursing school and the penlight was 8 dollars

Thank you but luckily they called me back and told me it was all a mistake! They took care of it :)

Hi,

I'm so glad to be done with micro! That was rough all by itself. Looking for books to buy, but I really don't want to buy when I keep hearing we won't be using some. I might be buying Lewis, perry & potter ones.

Anyone bought books yet?

Just put my two week notice in! Things are getting real!!!!?

17 days left!!!????

Hey guys, today was my last day of nursing school and its been one hell of a ride. I have been through a lot, but I survived!! Several tips I can tell you is REAAAD, I can not express that any further. Always being prepared with the materiel before class is going to help you succeed in the program . Also, clinical is another beast you have to do well in, and also being prepared with all your tools(stethoscope, pen-light, watch, drug book) and brain cells(lol). Furthermore, you will need a couple of support/study friends to help you get through the classes. That is all I have guys. Good Luck!!

I'm so excited!!! Can't wait to get my hands on the physical book
