Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

How are you guys putting together that orientation package? Binder? Super stapler? My mini stapler can't handle 32 pages and I don't want to have papers flying everywhere.

For Central we have to have a portfolio with things paper clipped together

I'm going to the North campus orientation on Wednesday then I'll defer my seat. I want to get as much information out of it as possible and see if they'll give out the syllabi so I'll know what to read and be more prepared for the January term.

I've been so miserable this whole weekend, this decision to defer SUCKS but it has to be done!

Can someone who has deferred their seat previously, answer some questions for me please.

Do I reapply for the January term? Or will they contact me?

Do I have to attend another Pre-Admission orientation even though I attended the one for the Fall term?

Im so sorry you have to do this, i really wish there was a way I could help so you can just start now. But thats a smart idea to at least have all the info in front of you so you can be way ahead of the game once you do start. You know were all here for you, anything you need to know once we start the program. Im gonna try to keep this thread alive as in the past other threads die once school gets rolling.

People who went to 365 in plantation, did you get back your titer results the same day, or did you had to go back for them?

Thanks so much :). So happy I joined this thread, you guys are the BEST!!!

You must do what's best for you Nelly

Just called the bookstore and they said theyre still shuffling around books and what not and it wouldnt be a "good time" to get books yet. So now I KNOW they are holding off book buying because theyre redecorating, has nothing to do with all the excuses they gave before. He says August 1st we should be able to buy books. We will see.....

Thanks Nursejackie

You should defer ASAP because you're holding up a seat someone else could be having. You have to go to another orientation meeting as well. Someone will always put reading lists and book lists up. But more importantly. Take the times to get the paperwork together and get that out of the way. And just wait for the start date
