August 2014 for Broward College

Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Has anyone completed all their CEUs on CEUfast.com? I cannot find the 6 hour OSHA/Hepatitis/TB one... Where can I get that to complete it in time?

Also, when/where/what time is the south campus RN orientation.

yayyy! I have company. I thought I was the only person live from north to go to south. I haven't registered yet so I am not sure about the web enhanced class.

I live in margate and I took classes at south. Doesn't take me more than 20 mins on the turnpike. Also the times we go to class and clinicals is before rush hour. Shouldn't be a biggie

Yes, they have those courses. I completed all of them on their website. I recently realized the OSHA is only 1 hour instead of 2 hours. They have Hepatitis C instead of Hepatitis. I don't want to run into any trouble with my certificates, so I'll retake them at Broward College.

When are they available at BROWARD college before all our paperwork is due? I looked on Broward's website and it looked like the next available course for the 6 hour OSHA/HEP/TB is going to be in August but after the August 1 deadline to have our paperwork submitted.

Pls let let me know of where any of you were able to obtain this 6 hour OSHA/HEP/TB ceu at. It's the last one I am missing.

Maybe the class is already full. I registered for it last week, and it's already on my D2L. I just haven't have time recently to complete the course.

Has everyone completed their CPR course? If no just an FYI that there is a place that does it for about half the price that BC charges. It was Only $40 and is certified by the AHA as BC requires.

When is South orientation?

Read orientation packet, there's information in there on that. From what I read it is doable with some restrictions not sure how beneficial it is to the student to not be able to do everything and still pass the exams.

Is the program doable if you're pregnant? And, do you guys know their policy about that?
