As it turns out...you have to fill out the request for reapplication/repeat examination form and mail it first together with a check for $75. Then receive a letter stating that you are eligible to register for the examination. Log into pearson vue, pay the $200 registration fee. You will then receive your ATT via email or through the mail. I haven't scheduled for an exam yet. But at that point, I'll have to pay for another $75..I just posted what needed to be done just in case it would be helpful to others who might have the same situation as I do.
Just wondering how did you go about it? Did you just reregister online? Or did you have to reapply and repeat the process again with California board of nursing? I have almost the same dilemma...ATT expiring today but eligibility is still good for another year. Please let me know..thanks
I think you have to do the things and passed all the requirements needed for re-applying for NCLEX..just like what you did when you re-applied again. You just need to send and fill out the application for reapply/repeat examination sheet plus the $75. Then wait for the letter of eligibility and then pay the $200 at Pearson to get your ATT and then they will email/mail your ATT that's when you can schedule your exam.

My ATT expired last January 29, 2010. I tried to re-exam before the expiration, I sent the reapplication form with the check for $75 and everything. Unfornately, the reply from the BRN came to late (they replied on Jan 26, 2009. I received the letter on the 29th). So now..I'm guessing that I have to re-register with pearson vue since my eligibility is good for two years. That is, until 2011. My question is..do I just go ahead and log into my account on pearson vue and pay for the 200 dollars or do I have to do anything else? I last took the exam on June 20, 2009.
some facts:
ATT validity : January 29, 2009 - January 29, 2010
Took Exam : June 20, 2009
Sent form for reapplication/re-examination : Jan 2, 2010
Received letter : January 29, 2010
Eligibility for nclex : January 2009 - January 2011
