Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
Just an update..I had my doubts about the trick considering that I was a bit dazed and confused after taking the exam..But I surely don't have any doubts now! I passed!!!! Tested on monday, March 15, got the results today, March 18, on the CA BON website. I know its daunting to wait the looooonngg wait. Just do the trick. It helps to keep you sane...a bit.

Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
@LN4N6RN @goodstudentnowRN Thank you so much for the boost in confidence I've been all over this site looking for anyone who has had a negative result with the good pop up. So far, I haven't found anyone who failed after getting the good pop up. Still...My heart would really rest easy if and when I do get to see my name on that verification page

Quick results or Pearson Trick?
@elang I applied for the nclex-rn on January 2009. My ATT for that expired last January 2010. This is my 2nd take. My first take, I wasn't really able to study for that. This time around, with a new ATT, I studied like it would really be the end of my life (LITERALLY! )..It really sucks that Cali doesn't have the quick results option. I would've been glad to just pay the 8 bucks and be free from all the stress of waiting..

Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
Ever since I took the exam last monday, march 15, I couldn't find it in me to turn off my pc. I have been obsessing over the CA website, checking on license verification to see whether or not I have passed. I did get the GOOD (records show..blah..blah..blah..contact member board..blah..blah..) pop up on pearsonvue, but as others have said, the only way to really know is if you get to see your name on license verification or you receive a letter stating that you did pass. I answered 75 questions, no meds, no pedia, no psych, no calculations...a whole lot of SATA's, prioritizations based on lab results...I'm losing sleep and I'm getting so anxious and depressed at the same time. I feel like I'm stuck in limbo..or purgatory for that matter...

Quick results or Pearson Trick?
I just took the NCLEX-RN yesterday..march 15 2010 @ 8am..It's now 2:36am where I'm at..I tried the pearson trick and got the GOOD pop up. I only answered 75 questions..no meds, no pedia, no psych, no calculations..but a LOT OF SATA. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and my prayers in my heart. It doesn't help at all that California doesn't have quick results. I can't rest until I know!!!! T_T

ATT expired. California BRN
As it turns out...you have to fill out the request for reapplication/repeat examination form and mail it first together with a check for $75. Then receive a letter stating that you are eligible to register for the examination. Log into pearson vue, pay the $200 registration fee. You will then receive your ATT via email or through the mail. I haven't scheduled for an exam yet. But at that point, I'll have to pay for another $75..I just posted what needed to be done just in case it would be helpful to others who might have the same situation as I do.

ATT expired. California BRN
My ATT expired last January 29, 2010. I tried to re-exam before the expiration, I sent the reapplication form with the check for $75 and everything. Unfornately, the reply from the BRN came to late (they replied on Jan 26, 2009. I received the letter on the 29th). So now..I'm guessing that I have to re-register with pearson vue since my eligibility is good for two years. That is, until 2011. My question is..do I just go ahead and log into my account on pearson vue and pay for the 200 dollars or do I have to do anything else? I last took the exam on June 20, 2009. some facts: ATT validity : January 29, 2009 - January 29, 2010 Took Exam : June 20, 2009 Sent form for reapplication/re-examination : Jan 2, 2010 Received letter : January 29, 2010 Eligibility for nclex : January 2009 - January 2011

Question for nurses who passed NCLEX using Saunders!
@depress nurse absolutely! i am doing more than just my best to pass this exam. i'm doing it most especially for my son...if i get to become a nurse, then i could definitely afford better psychiatric care and not just rely on medication. there are just days that the fear becomes so overwhelming and the odds seem to be against me. but thank you so much for your support!

Grad. BSN 4 yrs. ago, 3 mos. NCLEX-RN study enough?
@nurselil-lea thank you so much for your inspirational words...it means a lot. it really is such a big stressor not to have a lot of support in taking the exam. but knowing that this site exists, and that i am not alone in my fear of the nclex, it just makes me feel a whole lot better :)

Failed NCLEX-RN
You have to fill up a request for reapply/repeat examination form, mail it to your board of nursing with the $75..yes, you do have to wait 45 days from your last exam date to be able to qualify for re-examination. Im applying with the california board of nursing..i dont know if its different with the others. currently, Im using saunders and I have a constant passing rate of 60-70%. I'm using saunders because its quite comprehensive enough..

Question for nurses who passed NCLEX using Saunders!
im studying with saunders...i have only a month to review before my att expires. took the exam last june, reviewed for only 2 weeks and i was using incredibly easy (failed so bad of course with just 1 above passing ). to top it all off...i graduated 5 years ago, have a son with adhd and a 20 month old baby girl, single mom to boot. i am always at 60-70% with saunders....i am so scared to retake again...
