Am I correct in saying that process is TABE (already passed:bowingpur), then the LPN Orientation (where u receive ur LPN packet), take the TEAS:chair:, then Health Core class?!???! Or do u submit ur application with required documents before the Health Core Class??!!?..

:DAll replies are appreciated:D!

I'm not sure. I registered aug 6th. Want full then

Hello again Spencer,

Another quick question do you remember which location you have to take the drug screen at? I wanted to see if I could set an appointment after orientation thanks.

Hello!

They give you a slip to take it to their preferred locations and I think it was Labcorp. I went to the one on dixie hwy just north of commercial on the west side of the road. I'm not sure if they take appointments or not.

Thanks Spencer,

I will call to find out. Do you know if you can go to any location LabCorp or does it have to be specific ones that they choose. I am just trying to get as much does as possible orientation day because it is hard for me to request anytime off of work.

Be happy to help. So, here's the process I went through. This could be somewhat different for you, as I utilized the WIA program through unemployment to pay for my tuition. First I did the TABE, then went through Orientation in May, scheduled the TEAS for Aug 4th. After I did the orientation, I did my physical, immunizations, drug test and fingerprinting. I studied for the summer for the TEAS. Took that on the 4th, passed and turned in my completed packet. They gave me the registration slip, then umemployment gave me a voucher to pay for tuition, books and uniform. Once it was paid, I was in the class. However, I was originally told that taking the TEAS on Aug 4, "Should allow enough time for me to enter the Aug class". Come to find out, when I took the TEAS, it was filled already. And from what I heard the Oct class was half way filled when I did my registration about Aug 5th or 6th. So that should give you a general idea of how quickly they fill up.

My word of advice, since you already know that you are doing the orientation on Oct 8th, call and make a doc appt as close to that as possible and plan on a day to get the drug testing (waited 2 hours) and the fingerprinting (downtown FTL and waited 1 hr) and schedule the TEAS asap. (my opinion). I hope that helps!

I hope there is still space for October, but the main thing is getting in. I did orientation 9-1 and can't take the Teas until 9-29. Important to just get in. M

Sorry for the delayed response

They give you specific locations that have agreements with them. I was trying to do the same thing (get everything done in advance) but was basically stuck until you got the forms in orientation. What I did do in advance was get my immunizations. That was about the only thing I could do. I just had to go back to my doctors office to get her to fill out the specific form when I received it stating I got the shots the week before.
