Atlanta Winter/Spring 2020 nurse residency

Published

Hey guys, so far Emory, Wellstar, and CHOA have opened there winter/spring 2020 applications... waiting on Piedmont and Emory

I applied this weekend, now waiting for an email back, have anybody else applied? ?

Thats awesome to hear @mswain! I too have my phone interview next Tuesday for Piedmont. The nurse recruiter for Piedmont, Mrs. Braswell, is mom to one of my classmate, so she already spoke to her mom about me, so that makes me feel alittle less nervous about the process. I heard Grady interviews are in Oct. and the Wellstar Expo is on Oct 5th, thats where almost all the interviews will take place... havnt heard from CHOA.

Emory unfortunately only takes BSN

I am so happy for all of you. This is such an exciting time. I heard from Piedmont as well and I am supposed to interview soon.

Which Piedmont are you applying for?

I am applying for several. I know you are probably going on a ton of interviews right now. Many of my friends already have offers. It's such a precocious time; trying to excel in our last semester while interviewing for positions. I wish you the very best and hope you get tons of offers. :)

Has anyone heard anything about Northside's residency program?

I haven’t heard anything from Northside or CHOA. I’ve gotten interviews with Grady, Piedmont, and Wellstar so far and gotten job offers. I may take the one offer i got in the NICU but my first two choices are CHOA and Northside. When I read other threads about previous Northside cohorts it seems as though they do their hiring process later in the semester.

Congrats on your offers. Was NICU your first choice?

Thats awesome that you got offered a position at the NICU, at which hospital may I ask?

Specializes in NICU.

Hey you guys!!! What’s everybody’s status? How’s the job search going?

Hello, how was your interview with Piedmont? What content questions did they ask in your interview?

I actually didn’t go to the interview bc it would have been a waist of time bc I have already accepted a position in the Neonatal ICU and I was going to an interview for Adult ICU at Piedmont. But my who have went to interviews previously and currently work there said the basic priority questions in your only interviewing for Medsurg. However, if ur interviewing for ICU or ED u better know ur stuff!! They ask a lot of clinical questions one of my friends went on an interview for Piedmont ED a week ago and she didn’t get it bc they said she didn’t seem ready but said she could interview for medsurg position if she wants.

Thank you for responding. Do you know anything about the starting pay?
