Atlanta Summer 2023 Residency-May Grads!

Published

Hello All!

Has anyone else who graduates in May 2023 started applying to Summer new grad residencies in ATL?

So far I’ve seen Piedmont, Children’s, and Emory apps being open. Still waiting on Grady, Northside, and Wellstar.

There are also quite a few open houses that may be helpful to attend. Especially if they will be hiring on the spot.

Specializes in OR, Nursing Professional Development.

My friend accepted an offer at Emory and her base was $31-33/hr

Does anyone have a compact license not through the state of GA? if so, how are you going about getting a GA license?

I was told (for Grady) my multi state license is fine.

Specializes in NICU.

Is anyone going to Grady, having trouble with the I-9 link built into the tasks?

I was told that I need to have a GA state license and that I would need to apply for endorsement but the whole process doesn't make sense cause I'm essentially going through the same process I did to get my compact license again?! I'm confused LOL

I worked on mine the other day and had no problems.

Damn, I have been trying since Monday using the link but keep getting an error message. Have you gotten an email for your background check as yet?

Maybe reach out to HR. That sucks that we're being told different things.

I haven't gotten an email regarding the background check as of yet either.

Hi! I've accepted an offer at Grady as well...just wondering if anyone received an email yet for the background check/health screening!

Hey All,

I don't know if there's already a Grady nurse residency facebook page but I went ahead and created one just in case there isn't! Feel free to join and meet some coworkers! Would love to meet y'all! I'll be new to the city.

Any updates with onboarding? I've been working and packing to move for August. Finding an apt has been more difficult than I thought. Although I may just be being picky.

Did anyone take advantage of the Grady relocation bonus?

I will be. not sure how it works since I made the move before the official offer letters came out.
