Atlanta Summer 2023 Residency-May Grads!

Published

Hello All!

Has anyone else who graduates in May 2023 started applying to Summer new grad residencies in ATL?

So far I’ve seen Piedmont, Children’s, and Emory apps being open. Still waiting on Grady, Northside, and Wellstar.

There are also quite a few open houses that may be helpful to attend. Especially if they will be hiring on the spot.

If you guys don't mind my asking, did anyone end up at Northside? I have an interview Friday and have a couple questions!

I work at the Gwinnett campus a tech but I didn't interview for position there I don't know if I will be of any help.

Hi, I just found out about this group. I also accepted a NICU position at Grady and start in August.

Hi, if you don't mind me asking, does anyone know if Grady is still hiring? And what is the start date in August?

Nice!! Guess we'll be coworkers.

Congrats! I think I'm gonna accept an offer in trauma. I really wanted labor and delivery however it wasn't offered.

I'm not sure if they're still doing interviews as I had mine June 12th, however the august start date is august 21st.

Great!! Thank you! I'll look to see if I can still apply there

I applied on the career site under the new grad residency position. If it's still there then you should be good. They have cohorts starting July, August, and November. If you hear anything about the new grad pay at Northside please lmk ?!

Yes they have. If you have not received anything yet you need to contact them and have them put in a ticket for you.

Mine have gone good too! I'm so excited. And thanks! I applied today and have a phone interview with a recruiter Friday for Northside.

Hey! I'm gonna be interviewing at Northside this Friday for mother-baby! Did you guys end up applying, getting an offer or working at Northside? The cons I've heard are the pay and work culture.

A friend of mine told me the starting pay is $31 then shift differential. I applied June 6th but still haven't heard back yet

Okay thank you, that helps a lot! And she started recently ? I got an offer from Grady and base pay is 37 + overnight differentials which is 3.50 then an addition block pay once you're Off orientation.

Yeah she just started at Northside Duluth. She was hired as a tech pending when she passed her NCLEX.

Yes, I would love to reach out so I can know my application status. Thank you!!

Has any one accepted an offer at Emory and know their base pay, cons and pros?? I'm curious about them as well.

Specializes in NICU.

I am unsure if they are still hiring for the August cohort, but it starts on the 21st, and you must have NCLEX taken/passed by 8/7.

My friend accepted an offer at Emory and her base was $31-33/hr

Does anyone have a compact license not through the state of GA? if so, how are you going about getting a GA license?
