I'm about 30 minutes West of Atlanta! I work Cardiac step down at a level 2 facility!

That's great @hollykristinxo if you don't mind me asking the facility name that you work. I'm new to the area and I'm trying to apply to jobs. How is your unit do you like it?

Hi guys! So really random question but do you like Atlanta? Especially for those of you who have relocated? I live in MN and my hubby and I have looked into FL and GA as possibilities. I was only in Atlanta once and it was overwhelming as I come from a smaller town type area. I have 1.5 years experience in level 3 NICU and a BSN. He works for the railroad. I am most worried about schools for kids as we are due with our first end of May and I know GA schools are considered to be pretty bad. Just looking for a general over all idea of what you think of the area!

Schools in the Atlanta area vary and can be very good to horrible. You'll need to look at school ratings for the area you're thinking of living in. Traffic is awful in the Metro area, so you need to take that into consideration when you're house hunting and job hunting. I live in an area with highly rated schools and can get to my job in about 25 minutes maximum, both which were very important to me.
