ATL Summer 2022 Residency

Updated:   Published

HI! its early but I'm starting a thread for those graduating may/Summer of 2022 & are applying to atl metro hospitals ( Emory, Piedmont, Northside, CHOA,Grady & WellStar)  Emory, WellStar & CHOA have their applications open already. early bird always catches the worm (;  let's find roomies & those working on the same future floor as you!

Hey friends! I checked my application, it still said results pending, but when I go to search up my name on the licensing website, I found my name and there was a license number associated to it! What does this mean? Why haven't my application been updated but there "appears" to be a license number?

OK so have you done anything for as far as onboarding. I was originally supposed to start 7/5 but my start date was pushed back. Now I'm nervous it may be pushed back again.

Wow I’m sorry to hear that! Hopefully it doesn’t get pushed back again! I did all the onboarding stuff the same week I got offered the job and scheduled my health assessment but can’t do it until 30 days before start date. Did they say the reasoning for the delay? We’re u able to do your onboarding?

It was delayed because of my NCLEX date, it wasn't going to be on time for the start date. I did do the health assessment but I haven't gotten the official offer letter or the background check yet.

That’s def weird bc I got my offer letter the exact same day I had my interview. The recruiter called maybe 2 hrs later after interview with the job offer and emailed it to me. Maybe your start date will still be on the same day. I filled out alot of paperwork onboarding so I need to check and see if it was the background check. Have u been in contact with the recruiter recently?

Were you at the residency hiring event I've known I was hired since April of this year, and yes I spoke with her yesterday she said I would get an official offer this week or next week. I really don't understand this process at all.

No I never went to a hiring event. The NICU Unit Director originally called me for an interview bc she said she had gotten my resume from the recruiter. The first email I have from her was Feb 22. I didn't get back in town until June. But we kept in touch through email and I had my interview in June. Seeing as u got offered the job in April I would think everything would be submitted for u. Also that u would have been recieved an offer letter. That’s really weird and I can see how you can see it as confusing, cause now I’m not understanding the process either.
