ATI PN

Anyone currently using ati pn for nclex prep? i can be so confusing and i'm getting fustrated. Some test i'll do really good on, then i'll take other test with alot of detailed questions that i dont know anything about. pediatrics was my down fall a few days ago. I'm hoping to take my predictor today so i can move on to the alternate format test and be approved to schedule nclex. I graduated 2 weeks ago and my school doesnt release our transcripts to BON until we finish the tutoring program :/ I would like to know how detailed is nclex? is it as detailed as ATI?

NCLEX is more straightforward. It's either you know anything about a certain topic or totally clueless. Have you read the study guide from the NCSBN? It tells you the scope of NCLEX. Questions in the exam are random. They can be from any

subject you can find in most NCLEX review books. The key is to know the content, test taking strategies, and answer several questions. PDA and infection control are popular items in every NCLEX. I would say that Saunders was detailed and overwhelming too. I did not find the questions in my exam detailed. Just grit your teeth while answering those review materials. Did those questions and rationales help me? Absolutely.

my school used ATI throughout the program. Most of my classmates that graduated previously said the NCLEX was much easier than ATI. But people have told me that some classes would be easy or hard and those classes were opposite for me. I got a really good predictor from ATI but I was taught with that system. Relax and take a breath, you've got this!! Just keep studying but don't overwhelm yourself. You made it through nursing school so you can do anything!!!!

The program I went through had us use ATI throughout the who program for each subject we were in (pharm, peds, med surg) and a comphrehensive at the end. I feel like it helped A LOT!

Specializes in Peds.

My school used ATI the entire time I was in school. We had VATI with a instructor to help us. But honestly, I dont like VATI. I prefer Saundars and Exam Cram CDs.

im about to test in a less than 48 hours and as much as VATI got on my nervous, now i cant tear myself away from it! it's all so detailed that i gave up trying to learn every single disease process s/s and med side effect. right about now im just goin through rationals. i really dont know what else to do less than 2 days away.. i'll probably take one more ati test tomorrow then just go through the pedi vitals and insulins so i dont forget any of the simple stuff. #nervous. ive studied for 6 weeks!

what you just said makes me feel better hearing it from someone outside of my school. pretty much everyone i know said nclex was easier than ati.... im just nervous about all the med surg questions and stuff like that. i can do this though. i feel pretty good. i guess i feel like everyone else does right before nclex!

i guess alot of the review materials are harder than nclex... it's just alot of information to know all together. tryin not to overwhelm myself! it's down to the wire and i still felt like i should do more but i know that ive done everything that i can do.
