  1. There's definitely not much information for this program on forums. I'm starting online soon
  2. For you’re information, I’m a nurse manager who works for the biggest insurance company in the US with plenty of bedside and field experience. I’ve been in the medical field for 16 years and a nurse for 10 years. Have plenty of friends who have gone through all sorts of NP programs and have spent my career working closely with all types of physicians. Going through a NP program myself . I’ve seen plenty of your comments frowning upon so many NP students in online programs yet this is a graduate student platform. So yea maybe you shouldn’t be on this post or any other students post trying to discourage so many. I’m not going to address your statistics because it’s not needed. I know had I ever listened to anyone like you trying to discourage me from going to the school I went to at the start of my career then I probably wouldn’t have ever had an opportunity to enter this field. The school I chose back then certainly didn't shape what type of nurse I am, so I know that whatever school a person chooses doesn’t mean that they’ll be a poor NP or a better NP than the next. Nps will always be needed. I’ve seen so many of your post to other students that it makes me wonder if you’re being paid to be on this forum discouraging online students. Its not like your negative post towards NP students& online school are goin to make anyone quit their programs just because statistics say their will be an influx of NPs in the future. It’s ridiculous. Have a great day at work worrying about us online students ??
  3. If you’re worried about your future as an NP then you should worry about being a better NP and stop trying to discourage other RNs from reaching that level. Since all you seem to do is is down other nurses for the school they go to maybe you should reevaluate your career if the idea of online education upsets you. At this point even brick and mortar schools are offering 100% online programs for upper level degrees and it’s like that for a reason. As times change so does the educational platform. Get over it. You’re one of those nurses who try to keep fear in others through your hysteria and it’s ridiculous. So as I said before, who are you to be in a graduate student platform trying to discourage RNs from taking their careers to the next level? Exactly. You act like people are just handed degrees and licenses. the classroom is in the comfort of our homes and clinical sites. There’s a reason they want you to have experience before applying to these programs. It takes a lot of time and dedication to get through these programs while working fulltime still and taking care of our families. It takes preparation to sit for the same board exams as everyone else so stop being an old angry nurse who’s mad that times are changing . I couldn’t imagine sitting around all day on a student forum trying to discourage people. You have no idea the circumstances that have led students to choose the schools they’ve gone to. I’ll commend anyone who’s able to navigate through this field climbing up the ladder and end up a successful NP. The ones who don’t belong in this field get weeded out so I have no concern about not working as an NP in the future and I don’t think any skilled NP should be so worried about what school another NP went to.
  4. I don’t care what googled stats you’re using. Who are you to be in a graduate nursing forum trying to discourage RNs from advancing their education and credentials the best way they can...
  5. Lol wow I remember when people used to say the same thing about being a RN without a BSN and how hard it would be to find work, or even about LPNs becoming non existent. Baby boomers need people to take care of them and as long as there are sick people in the world, there will always be a shortage of nurses and they will be needed no matter what school they went to. Everyone takes the same board exams. Get over yourself and stop trying to discourage nurses from continuing their education at online schools. Most of these are working nurses so not everyone is able to sit at a brick and mortar university . RN's with experiences are often better prepared as NPs than NP's without any bedside care anyway.
  6. Nurses are not put into the same education category as teachers or other professions because of the high demand for nurses. This profession needed more ways to get people qualified quicker to do the different jobs that only a nurse can do. By breaking the education level and credential levels down it's much easier to get qualified people, that is why all nurses don't have to be RN's or have higher level of degrees first. It's about the demand. I'm assuming you're either a new nursing student or dont even working in nursing if you have to ask that kinda question.
  7. Me too, got my license this morning. It was the BON website this morning! I didnt even have to pay for quick results congrats to all the new rn's today!
  8. It still works mt license was on the nursing boards website this morning, im a Rn now!
  9. Im on the same boat! I initially had a heart attack when I saw the cc screen so I told everyone I failed. It was only when I decided to pay for it that I got the good pop up. Awesome, im hoping my license is on the BON Site tomorrow because they update it in texas every Tuesday and thursday. The wait is brutal. So far everyone from my class has passed!
  10. Yes this was my experience yesterday, I was sure I passed but then I had a heart attack after seeing the cc screen, but was feeling confused after it didn't take my payment. I feel better now so I'm just waiting on quick results.
  11. Im on the same boat as you! I had a heart attack yesterday when I got the cc screen and I cried for ever. I decided to go ahead and pay for it and was extremely surprised to get the good pop up after entering my cc and pressing submit. I was so confused I had to come to this site for confirmation that there was an update! Im no longer crying, I feel better. But ill still pay for quick results bcuz this new stuff freaked me out. The thought that I failed after only 75 questions in 80 minutes drove me to drink! Im confident that all is well and if that "good pop up" is accurate.
  12. Thanks for the info,,Im still getting the good pop up!
  13. Thanks for the info
  14. Well its not charging my card, its giving me the good pop up still so hopefully everything is ok!
  15. I*just took nclex rn, finished in 75 questions with 19 SAT and left the testing center about an hour ago. I did the trick and was taken to the cc screen and cried, let my classmates know that i have failed. I decided to enter my cc number and submit it. Instead of getting a reciept page, i got a pop up that states: "our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. another registration can't be made at this time." i had to retract all statements to my class and tell them i have no idea whats going on because before it wouldn't take you that far into registration. I guess the "trick" maybe updated according to a couple other threads I have seen? i guess since i got that pop up and not a reciept i probably passed? ill know in 48 hrs. Help!!
